Are liberal news media sources losing subscribers and viewers due to their liberal bias in reporting news?
Many major newspapers are losing subscribers and many (LA Times, NYT) are having severe financial problems. Most television news sources are continually losing viewer ship. Is their liberal bias in reporting the news the reason or because people now have a choice by getting their news from the Internet? Which major media news sources are the most biased and which are the least biased?

Yes liberal new media has been losing subscribers for a very long time. Especially the NY times. I prefer Fox because it's least biased, but I'm apparently not alone in that believe since they are gaining every day.

It's because (a) the younger generation is not interested in current events, (b) the younger generation expects to get everything for free, so there's no reason to buy physical copies of things like papers, (c) there are many more media outlets, and 24 hour news crowds the field.
I would guess that SOME people are not subscribing because they BELIEVE that "major newspapers" have a liberal bias. But even if Fox had not brought this war of "Fair and Balanced," I wouldn't think that the conservative christian in Kentucky would be buying the NYTimes anyway.
What papers are "biased"? That depends upon your philosophy and perspective. Certainly some papers have more liberal editorial boards (like NYTimes) and some are more conservative (Wall Street Journal, Washington Times), but that doesn't necessarily mean that the papers are biased one way or another. Some papers are known for liberal bias because of their investigative techniques (i.e. going after big corporations or government corruption or reporting on the "other side" of issues like war), but does that make them liberal, or just good journalists?
Plus, some media outlets are seen as liberally biased because they take shots at republicans. Of course, republicans have been the ruling party for the last 6 years, and had significant strength throughout the Clinton administration, and had the presidency, except for Clinton, since 1981. So the media isn't taking shots at republcans, it's taking shots at the guys in charge (which is what their job is!)

a) Most biased news source is a toss up between Fox News and the bazillion right wing radio programs.
b) I used to subscribe to the NYTimes (hardcopy) and stopped subscribing two years ago. Now I just read the articles online - it's cheaper (LOL) - and is certainly a big savings in the recycle bin! I certainly didn't stop subscribing to hardcopy newspapers because of some reporting 'bias' (which as far as I can tell, is nothing more than right wing hysteria).

Many newspapers and television news programs are having financial trouble because of the internet and changing reading and viewing habits in America. This has NOTHING to do with conspiracy theories about the "liberal media". For example, Fox New's viewership is down over 20% this past year. Is that because Fox News is the "liberal media"? I didn't think so. Nice try though.

You are one of those people that look to prove your point by using numbers and statistics in an erroneous fashion .
Two and two do not always add up to four .With hundreds of channels available to watch 24 hours a day ,the Internet magazines and other sources ,News papers have been losing readers for years .Half of America can not even read for god sakes and you want to blame the so called liberal media as the reason Americans are not reading the paper .
Its like conservatives all of a sudden woke up and abandoned the news paper .Get a life and quit trying to blame liberals for your problems .
I know abortion is wrong but no one can force you to have one yet .Just like gay marriage is wrong ,and again no one is twisting your arm to marry a guy named Bruce . So once and for all in your pitiful life get over your narrow view of the world and learn to accept those things that cause you no harm .

Guess what! The Liberal media here in Oregon ran a number of articles and TV shots about voter fraud last November. The only problem from your point of view is that the guilty party was a Republican working on counting ballots. That person was filling in ballots that were incomplete. You see, it works both ways. I think if you watch ABC, CBS, and NBC news they are not very biased. After watching Fox news a few times, I consider them more biased. Maybe they are all biased, though. If so, you must make your own conclusions. A middle of the road moderate.

there was a major media news conference on cspan about a month ago and the heads of these groups each took turns coming up stating what they thought was the problem. I sure hope somebody will put it on youtube someday because their bias and agenda couldn't have been more transparent. Basically they said it is their right to report however they want and if it has a biased it is their right. It was unbelievable their arrogance.

Forget newspapers and radio, radio is all ultra-conservative in my area and newspapers are really slow; television is all about the "missing white woman of the week" and who got killed mugged etc.
I use the internet extensively, look at as many sides as possible and pick from among them. They are all biased but with the internet you can look at more sources quickly.

First off, the liberal media bias is a myth created by the righties to explain why every news story not on Fox News is unflattering. Secondly, where do you pull these facts from? They smell of last night's dinner.

No one comes close to Fox News, which should rename itself White House Press Room.
