Standing at the gates of Heaven, and God ask you, "Why should I let you into my glory?"?

What would you tell God? What are you trusting in to get into heaven?

Because of what Jesus did at Calvary by dying for my sins not just accepting Jesus as Savior but also as Lord. I believe Jesus is the son of God and the only mediator between God and man and that Jesus is the way truth and life and the only way into heaven see John 3:3. It is not what I have done for the Lord but rather what he has done for me. And to realize anything I have ever had the privilege and honor of having is because of Gods grace.

Do you think God will ask that? God knows all right? He knows who are HIS sheep. He knows the hearts of every man, and His judgment will come swift.

Those who are saved in Him, will be in Heaven instantly. There will not be an unsaved person standing before God where he asks them "Why should I let you in?" if they are not saved through Jesus Christ, they will not enter, for the Bible holds true. God does not lie. "Unless you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God" John 3:3

Jesus says: " I am the only way, truth and life and no one comes to the Father but through Me" John 14:6

-Those who put their faith in Jesus Christ and repent of sin, confess it before Him are saved...sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of remeption- PROMISED seal. See Ephesians 1.

There is nothing that can get me into heaven but Grace. I have no right to God's glory...nor has anyone. Lewis called it agape, self-less love: this transient life and that eternal one both depend on it.

If he asks me why he should, I'd tell him point blank he shouldnt. I am a sinner, I have acted out against God, and probably will continue to. But in Christ I lay my hope, as God promised me through Christ I would be saved. Bought and paid for. But up to my own merits, I dont deserve heaven.

Do you seriously think there are gates? Does he have a alarm system to detect people scaling the walls? Is there barbed wire?

I would tell Him that the only reason he should let me in is because I believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, and what he did while here on Earth.

It's not a certainty that such a place exists. In fact, to me the idea seems ridiculous. I could be wrong, but a being torturing me for an honest evaluation of the facts available seems ridiculous also.

If God is all-knowing and all-seeing, then God knows why.

i'd tell him that I repented my sins to Him and customary Jesus as my saviour and characteristic witnessed to human beings the Gospel of Jesus Christ. i'd also tell God that that is the promise he made to us interior the Bible.
