Are Bryant Gumble and Cris Collinsworth not the worst commentary team ever?

Oh My Gosh. Never have there been such truer words spoken.

I live in the SF Bay Area and a few weeks ago when the 49ers played at Seattle a local Bay Area station broadcast the NFL Network broadcast of the game. I've never liked Bryant Gumble, had not seen or heard him in years, but I have to admit I thought he and Collinsworth did a good job.

First of all, it was a two man booth, which I MUCH prefer to Monday Night Football's three man booth, too many motormouths vying for airtime.

YES THANK YOU!!!! Bryant Gumble is horrible at commentating and Cris Collinsworth doesnt make the situation much better. And also when they had Dick Vermeil cammentate on the Cowboys v. Falcons game....my God! You couldnt understand the man with his unbelieveably raspy voice!!! NFL Network has the worst televised games. I do like that there are now Thursday and Saturday games.....but i think a change in commentators is in order

As annoying as Jimmy Neutron is, Jimmy makes up for it by being a genius. Jimmy is just not football smart, and Jimmy was a better receiver than a commentator, and that is not saying much. I guess what I am saying is a retarded chimp banging pots together be better than these 2 morons. Anyone agree??

I'm not a big fan either, and I think I would rather hear a couple of Hooters girls talk about tip money than these two. However, I think that Al Michaels, who was once among my favorites, now believes his own hype. He now seems a little egotistical. At least Madden understands the game, and knows of what he speaks. I like Joe Buck and Aikman has come a long way in the booth too. Theisman drives me nuts. But the worst sports commentator ever is Joe Morgan. I would rather watch a golf game with broadcasting in pig-latin than listen to an inning with him.

Oh man. I hate Gumble. You can tell he's never played a sport in his life. He's one of those guys that was always picked last in gym class. I hate Collinsworth too. He thinks he knows everything. He wasn't that good anyway. I'd gladly watch two chimps banging pots together.

What's with Joe Buck now being on FOX FOOTBALL commentating? I just think he has NO sense of humor...that football pre-game show went to the dogs. I only watch CBS in the morning now before the Sunday games

In essenc I said call the game not the opionions. I mean when did you ever hear Vin Scully or old Chick Hearn call anything but the games and scores...they didn't have to ramble on and on...and gee wiz they did give Madden a yellow magic marker....that way we don't have to look at the play again...(smile) God I'm getting old and cranky...

not the worst. there is a commentary team that typically does poor big 10 games (i.e. purdue/indiana or something to that affect). its a old color commentary guy who has the most monotone voice that drones on incredibly slowly and a woman doing play by play who has apparent knowledge of the game, but lacks convincingness and never seems to say anything new. i recommend listening to them if you really want to hear poor commentating.

Yes I agree that the retarded chip should be hired and those two has beens should be let go. They are absolutly horrible. The next one to go is Troy Aikman, I feel bad for the guy. All those head injuries are catching up, he can barely remember his own name!

The NFL Network exec's sure had their head's up the collective asses when they decided on this booth duo to call their games. I'm so glad I have a mute button on my remote.
