Is it olive or canola oil that is the healthiest over other food oils.. i know definitely that vegetable oil had to be the fattest and unhealthiest..or at least one of the unhealthiest.

Q: What is the most healthful oil to use, especially when I am trying to lose weight?
A: Canola and olive oil have stellar nutrition reputations due to their healthy fat profiles: They both contain a high percentage of "good" monounsaturated fat and only a small amount of "bad" saturated fat. But somehow olive oil, in particular, developed a super-food reputation; I've actually heard of people who drink it.

I think nutritionists claim that Olive Oil is the best, but Canola Oil comes in a close second, and has the advantage of not having that "olive" taste to it.

Olive oil wins, except when cooking at high temperature. Then canola wins. Butter always wins for taste. Accept the fact.
Please notice that Siberian and Alaskan tribes never bothered with such concepts. Whale blubber, seal fat, and fish oils, combined with constant exercise, seems to have gotten them through a rough environment without any need for dietary beliefs or fads.

As far as cooking oil is concerned olive oil is the healthiest... If you're just talking about oil in general then omega-3 oils like fish oil and flaxseed oil are best for you.

Olive oil. That's why there is almost no heart disease in Crete. A family can use a gallon a week. They use it for cooking, hair and skin

well from what i know about the sources olives offer alot more benefits than the rapeseed, so I would say olive oil but just make sure that it is either virgin oil or extra virgin.
