no your checks stop immeaditly upon reception in the doc as does va benefits, your social security number is what they use to run a benefits chek with the feds, who grant the states funding for programs utalized in prison.

If you are a disbabled person receiving SSI before age 65, you will not receive your checks while you are in prison. But I do believe you receive the back pay when you get out.
Not sure about regular retirement social security

Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits generally are not payable for months that you are confined to a jail, prison or certain other public institutions for commission of a crime. And, you are not automatically eligible for Social Security or SSI benefits when you are released.

I hope you don't mind the correction but the word is you're as in you are, not your as in the prison belongs to you. As to the question, I certainly hope not because it costs the taxpayers several thousand every month to support you if you're in prison.

what would they need it for? their expenses are already being paid for by the tax payers anyway.
