My turkey is about 15lbs, how long do I cook it? When do I uncover it to brown?
I put my turkey in at 8:30am now, turkey is unstuffed, probably about 15lbs, I have been basting it about every 45 minutes so far.
I need to figure out how long I should bake it, when I should uncover it so it will brown, and make sure 350 degrees is a good temp to cook at.

15-20 mins per lb, 325, internal temp in the thigh without hitting bone 170, uncover last 30 min, raise temp to 375

Until it reaches a temperature of 165 degrees. Too many factors can influence time. Get a thermometer and avoid the guesswork.
Roast it upside down, (or cover the breast with foil to prevent over-browning), and then either trun the turkey right side up or remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Crank the heat a a little toward the end as well.

temp is to high.cook @ 325 for 3 hrs. use a brown piece of paper such as 1/2 paper bag. oil it completly and cover turkey with it. remove it to let the turkey brown.

4.5 to 5 hours. Use a thermometer and make sure that the internal temperature is correct.
