Which vocal range is this song for?

Happy New Year everyone!

There's a particular song I like to sing quite a lot, and I recently found the sheet music for it. Just for reference, what vocal range was this written for? Here's the music (without text as the lyrics were originally in Japanese), in PDF format:

and the original opening from which it was transcribed, performed by Akemi Sato:

I sing this much lower than she does, but it's a great song and I have no trouble with it. Thanks so much!

Update:

My first guess was mezzo-soprano---but I'm still in the middle of learning what the various vocal ranges sound like. I wonder if I'm right or wrong, and that's why I ask.

Either mezzo or alto is fine, both are correct because there is actually significant overlap between the ranges, and sometimes one can take the role of the other. For example, Brunnhilde in Wagner's Ring cycle is a soprano but in the third opera, Siegfried, she sings mezzo almost throughout.

I sang this song a few years ago and I would place it in the alto range. Mezzo-soprano range often goes much higher and not as low as this song does.

I agree with Stephanie, it sounds pretty borderline, but then she climbs up a bit so probably mezzo-soprano.

I agree with you on it being mezzo soprano. It's either that or alto, but it's pretty borderline.
