Use a proper e-mail software & SMTP/POP mail server account......... one of the best e-mail softwares currently available being MOZILLA THUNDERBIRD.
From there, you've got a variety of options to create your mail, such as "Insert Image" to place images directly in the e-mail instead of as an attachment +
Insert > table (grid)
Insert > HTML
Insert > Character & Symbols (e.g. ¢ or º, etc)
Along with choosing what font you can use + it's size & colour
Just remember to use these wisely, as these e-mails tend to get a bit large + can cross the borderline as to what is & isn't a spam e-mail.
Mozilla THUNDERBIRD can be obtained from:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/
The same tricks are also possible in OUTLOOK EXPRESS, but I don't trust that anymore after the INBOX database on the copy of that I was using got corrupted and lost a chunk of my e-mail about 2 - 3yrs ago (So much prefer to use either Netscape7 or Mozilla Thunderbird instead.... both of which appear to be the same software with different branding).

Usually email services have a button where you can insert pictures. So click on the button and select the picture from your computer.

Either download Incredimail, but I create my own by going to sites like Photobucket.com and finding cool stuff and just copy by right clicking and pasting into my emails by right clicking. It's easy, good luck!! Just play with it, it is so fun!

In your email, click on the 'attach files' button, then click 'browse'. Click on the file you want to send (photo, message, etc), then click on 'attach files'. When it says it's done attaching the file, click on 'Continue to Message', then type in your email and click 'send'
