Has anyone ever seen a Disney movie called "Polly"?

It's not the one with Hayley Mills. It has Keisha Knight-Pulliam and Phylicia Rashad. It was a great movie.. The only movie I think that Disney never put into DVD format. I don't know why, it's a hella good movie. You guys tell me what you think, if you've ever seen it. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out.

Update:

It's not Pollyanna, that's the one with Hayley Mills. This one is just called straight up "Polly". There was a dancing kid, his name was Brandon Adams I think.. That boy could dance his fanny off.

There were those in 1989 who bellyached that Disney Television's Polly was a far from faithful adaptation of Eleanor Porter's classic novel Pollyanna. What they meant was that Polly did not resemble the 1960 Hayley Mills movie version of Pollyanna, which itself played fast and loose with the source material. In Polly, The Cosby Show's Keshia Knight Pulliam portrays the "Glad Girl" who brings along a satchelful of happiness and optimism when she visits her wealthy aunt one summer. Tranposing Porter's all-white story to a middle-class black community in the Alabama of the 1950s (Celeste Holm is the only white costar) isn't nearly as self-conscious or gimmicky as it seems on paper. Nor is any damage done to the original by adding musical numbers, especially when taking into consideration that the film was directed by renowned choreographer Debbie Allen (the sister of Phylicia Rashad, who plays Polly's aunt--and who in 1989 was costarring with Keshia Knight Pulliam on a weekly basis on The Cosby Show). Polly scored a boffo ratings hit, prompting Disney TV to assemble a 1990 sequel, Polly: Comin' Home!

the movie you are thinking of is Pollyanna. People shortened the title and call it Polly. It is made by Disney and you can rent it on VHS or DVD. The other movie that has Polly as part of the title is Along came Polly. I don't think it is a Walt Disney title.

Yes I have. It is the remake of Pollyanna. Fairly decent movie. Better than the remakes of the Witch Mountain movies I would say.

It is an outstanding movie. Heart Warming. Not sure if its available from Disney or Blockbuster. Its been at least 3 or 4 years since I saw it.

They don't dare make too many movies like this, otherwise everyone would go to the movies almost everyday and no one would watch TV.

Do you mean "Paulie" with Tony Shalloub? That was a good movie too. Sorry I'm not completely good with Disney movies, after all I'm 17 years old.
