The two major Universities FOR the deaf are Gallaudet University in Washington DC and National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester NY.

If you are hearing and want to teach the deaf, there are a number of major universities that offer teaching degrees with a minor in American Sign Language.

Or, there are community colleges that offer Associates degrees in ASL that you can transfer to a larger university to finish a teaching degree.

Philosophy is tough as a results of fact there are few jobs as philosophers, despite if that's super training for scientific and regulation college. in my view, the worst majors are Theater and Dance. in case you're sturdy sufficient to make it, they're super. despite if maximum human beings won't be able to make it and are left devoid of back-up plan and employers who do not fee the degree.
