ummm anyone know what to do?

I have weird crazes where I can go DAYS if not longer (weeks and even months) where I don't eat at all or I only eat little portions and very few of them. Then whenever I DO gain my appitite back I eat like crazy. Over the summer (just last year) I only ate maybe 3 actual means and like I had VERY little to snack on. I was down to 111 lbs. and now I'm all the way back up to almost 140 last time I checked (maybe more now) I think maybe this time may be because I'm catching a cold or someting but what about all the other times? Why do I get to where I can't eat anything for so long then I eat so much? Is there anything I can do to get my appetite back? I mean it's not that I don't want to eat but the sight/smell of food makes me feel sick let alone the taste! Suggestions?

Update:

No I don't drink because of my age. I'm 16.

It sounds like a mood cycle to me. Appetite changes often happen along with mood changes. Do you notice feeling unusually elated or happy along with certain appetite changes, or maybe feel more down and depressed? If that's the case you may have an emotional or mood disorder that you may want to talk to a proffesional about.

I know several people that have your problem, but they have an underlying problem called ALCHOLISM. Can't stand the sight or smell of food for days weeks or even longer, then go off the sauce and eat up everything they get their hands on!! Not to pry, but might you have this problem?????
