I think it's right, yes!
Just because nicotine addicts like smoking and stinking up themselves and everything/everyone around them doesn't mean that we should have to deal with it too. I'm glad that banning smoking in public places is being enforced! YAY!
I never understood WHY they needed to smoke in the middle of their meals at a restuarant that I just happened to be at too. I mean, is it going to kill them to wait until they go outside to leave, get in their cars, or wait until they're in their own home to light one up?

I used to smoke, and see no reason why a smoker should be allowed to force the pollution of their habits on others. Smoking has no more rights than drinking. Most parks don't allow drinking, yet smoking is still allowed, even though the butts litter the ground for everyone who uses the park. Personnaly, smokers should do like I did. Wake up and smell the roses. It's a habit which can be broken. No one ever died from nicotine withdrawal. Most importantly, sooner or later smoking will be banned completely. And look at medical. I can see the medical insurance disapproving any smoking related illnesses for coverage in order to save money. After all, it's your choice.

I have to agree with you. I have friends that smoke, and it really bothers me when they do it around me and other who don't smoke.
Its really annoying when your making conversation and someone keeps puffing smoke in your direction. I'm sure all the non-smokers know how irritating that is.
People may fight against the ban, saying that it is a right for them to smoke. But I'm against it because others don't have to be in discomfort just for the sake of the rest to enjoy a puff.
So if you wanna smoke, please do. But not in public places.

I think the act of smoking in public should be banned (just because it affects the non-smokers too), not banning smokers....they are just people like the rest of the non-smokers.

Yes!I quit smoking 11 years ago and I don't miss it.If smokers want to smoke fine then there should be "smokers dens" for them so as not to bother non-smokers.

Yes I do!!!
I am a smoker and I hate it when someone else's smoke is all over the place.
I think it's rude.
It's just like farting.......you just don't go around spreading it everywhere.

They should not be allowed to smoke in establishments that allow minors to enter. But It should be up to the owner if he owns a bar to allow smoking or not. You have the choice to enter the bar or not & they only allow 21 yr olds to enter.

It just doesn't make any sense why a person can't smoke outside - I mean, come on people! Car Exhaust?? No one seems to care about that but someone puffing on a little cigarette is all of a sudden responsible for the deaths of millions. I think it is ridiculous.

I agree since their smoke hurts us. Give them a place to smoke outside and everyone will be happy
