Love is that which makes us better.

I can't help but notice that the answers to this question fall into 2 categories... People define love as...

1. Love is all about me. (I love someone, therefore I miss them, can't bear to be without them, I get butterflies when i see them, etc.) - which in fact does nothing for the person who is "loved"

2. Love is all about the person I love. (I accept them for who they are and don't try to change them, I warm the bed for them, I stroke their hair until they fall asleep, etc). - which is a lot better!

So in my oppinion, if feelings described at no1 do not lead to actions described at no2, that is not love. It's rather need. Which is something else altogether.

I believe love is all about allowing and helping others (or the one) to grow.

And oh, by the way! Excellent question.

1.Being lovd by someone who is not a member of your family... would say lov is ...happiness and sadness{ mind he / she lovs u as grown as u r}here some times u wish the other party would just go and c friends so that u clear ur head up... shame!!

2.Being lovd by family members-u know this kind of lov can be described as .... the never ending. Loving u with no condition.. whether ugly or beatiful, whether brilliant or dumb. u know i would say here that lov is al about family ties. missing some one when not her

And although Im not religious, this verse from Corinthians 13:4-8a strikes me every time!

Love is when they are always in your thoughts, and when you think about them your heart feels like it's skipped a beat. You can't imagine living a day without them and when you wake each morning you fall in love with them all over again.

in other words, the tiniest things that can take nothing but mean the world

Love is ~ when your other feels that there is nothing els but you who is as important in their life.

It's that self 'realisation' within their self (or myself) which has such power, and it's such a wonderfully beautiful sense of ones self.
