Yes, but then the family has to find a way to live without thier loved one due to Brandy's recklessness. Maybe a $50M lawsuit will help make her feel some of the pain she has caused this family.

No really, people who sue over wrongful death ask for about the same amount and even a little less, But i am sure that Brandy would have no problem paying it because her conscious will carry on her shoulders about that boy

absolutely! and it will keep happening until they put a cap on lawsuits. lets face it-50k is not going to bring someone back and it's way more than the average person would make or even spend in a lifetime. so you can't say they gave that amount for wages lost due to death. its a ridiculous amount of money. and whomever awarded it should be ashamed.

They say they would sue anyone for that same amount but they are just trying not to look bad. If they tried to sue a poor man for that much they would never see it.

People ask for what they want... Bottom line is they have a dead person in their family due to someone else's carelessness... That can't be replaced... Brandy can replace her money...

Yes it's excessive, no they wouldn't both from someone with less money.

I also don't think that value can actually succeed...even in cases of wilfull homicide, I don't think judgements that large hold up.

well its a legal game,sue big settle lower ,she is a celebrity and she was involved in the death although nothing is proved yet but the woman died ,her faily need compensation and mostly some hot shot lawyer convinced them they can get big bucks out of this/.
