Skin itches, lesions, pain, fatigue, insomnia?
does anyone else have this problem ... the doctors have no idea :( and the only thing we have been able to find is a thing (new and not recognised by GPs) called Morgellons.
Symptoms: skin crawling, sores that don't heal but continue to produce various 'things'. The 'things' vary from fibrous to what look like a little white worm. Naturally the GPs say it is delusional parasitosis but if that is the case the my hubby is very strong minded as he has made them appear on my skin also!
The other symptom that seems to have no solution (sleepers do not work at all) is insomnia ... really really bad.
We live a fairly healthy lifestyle. I was wondering how many people may actually have this disease/infection? I am looking for people in Australia particularly.

I found a Morgellons message board/blog thingy that seemed to have a lot of people from Australia on it. After doing a little I definatly think that's what you have. My heart goes out to you, girl. I have mastocytosis so I kinda know what you're going thorough. Best of luck!

those are Morgellons symptoms. do you remember being in a garden, and being bitten by a thripe/bug/tick? I've found most people, especially family groups, have a common bug bite... and often get re-bitten.
Morgellons seems to hit people with compromised immune systems more than people in top health!
When I had Morgellons I could not sleep but it was from the creepy crawlies! a hot bath soothed enough that I could sleep.
It's a virus (I believe) and can be cured, but people can also get re-infected. Many whole families suffer to the point of insanity. I got it all by my self, but I know exactly when I was bitten!
Start taking some immune boosting drugs, keep your skin clean and moisturized, don't pick the lesions. collect the fibers, and anything else that comes out of the lesions.... bring them to the GP and have them analyzed... it's not skin, hair or any human secretion.
Good Luck, from an EX-sufferer.

Hi! I have googled this and read a lot about it. First I saw the patients on a news show here in US. You may want to read the websites and add your name to the directory, and there is a way your doctor can communicate with other doctors who know about Morgellons. It would be nice for you to meet someone with the illness online who can give you support. Best of luck to you!!

Skin problem sounds like a fungus. See a dermatologist. Insomnia may not be related at all, just another problem which could have a few causes such as external noises, too light in the room, TV in the bedroom? I'd change my GP as he/she hasn't helped you at all. Good luck!
