check out Valentine by Tom Savage.

Anything by Tami Hoag. I really like Ashes to Ashes, A Thin Dark Line and Cry Wolf.

The Devil Wears Prada was pretty interesting.

I also used to read Mary Higgins Clark when I babysat.

How about The Lovely Bones and Lucky by Alice Sebold? The first is told from the point of view of a 14 year old murder victim and the second is a memoir about the author's rape in college. Both well written.

Philippa Gregory writes some historical fiction - and I enjoyed The Other Boleyn Girl and The Virgin Queen.

If you like some paranormal books, check out Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. I've read a few. Laurell Hamilton also has a series about Anita Blake, a vampire executioner who raises the dead for a living. This series starts strong, but starts to wear thin later on. I'll still probably finish it sometime.

    Have fun!

Uncle Tom's Cabin... it seems a little much at first (400 pages), but once you start reading it is hard to stop. It made me cry alot...

Another good book is Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. It really teaches you alot of lessons.

Any book by Zane (alert adult content) is pretty good.

well if you want to educate yourself Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki is good I am currently reading that now and it is very helpful. Or I heard The Sisterhood Of Traveling Pants is cute.

Well I take it you're looking for entertainment so here are some ideas.

sci-fi/drama/adventure--Anything by Marion Zimmer Bradley especially her Darkover series!

mystery--I love Lillian Jackson Braun's "The Cat Who . . ." books a lot and Agatha Christie just rocks.

    spiritual/romance--Anything by Francine Rivers
