curly girl handbook?
this is a book by Lorraine Massey. has anybody used this process? did it work for you? i am a little doubtful, cause from what i can tell, you arent supposed to shampoo your hair? does the methods of cleaning mentioned work? what about when you hair is really dirty (like you have been swimming in chlorine or something?
i really just want to know whether it works, and whether your hair can still be clean and healthy? cause if it does work, that would be great.

I tried this for a while and it did work insofar as my hair became less frizzy. I think that the concept is that your hair will be more healthy because you're not stripping away the natural oils in your hair. However, it does cause your hair to eventually feel/look a bit on the grimy side. I read the handbook but unfortunately cannot remember what it said about chlorine.
To this day I still do just conditioner daily and use shampoo once a week.
