Do you think I may be pregnant?
I am trying to conceive. My period is a week late tomorrow. I have been starving when no apparent reason (ie. I had a massive lunch yesterday, had afternoon tea, and was still absolutely starving by 4 o'clock). I have had a little nausea (but I have an anxiety disorder which often causes this as well). My breasts are a little bit more tender than usual, but this often happens surrounding my period. I am also a little bit moody, but also happens with PMS. I have no other signs. I did a HPT, but it came up negative. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. What does everyone think?
10 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoOff leash dog parks between Sydney and Brisbane?
We are heading from Sydney to Brisbane over the christmas break, and I was wondering if people could tell me where some good off leash dog parks are on the way to stretch the boys legs during the trip.
By the way, we have not decided which highway yet, so parks on either route are appreciated. thanks

11 AnswersNew South Wales (Sydney)1 decade agoMy hyperlinks I put in Word documents do not display properly.?
They end up looking weird and having {HYPERLINK "and the address" etc} as opposed to the word being in another colour and underlined. I have to right click each individual jumplink and pick 'select jumplink' for it to look normal, but it does not stay like this. Is there a way to fix this so that they stay normal, and that I can do the whole document at once? and so that it doesnt happen again?

4 AnswersInternet1 decade agoDoes anybody else think this was rude?
The other day, my neighbour invited me to come over for dinner last night. She knows what time i finish work. I agreed to go. She sends me a message yesterday afternoon, asking what time i would be at their house. I told her seven. She sends me a message back and says "well, we will have already eaten by then, but i will see you at seven".
i was gobsmacked. who invites someone over for dinner and then tells them they would have already eaten by the time they get there?
i ended up having to get take out for dinner, as i obviously didnt put anything out for dinner. i just found it so rude, and i was so angry.

Why is it that any other culture can attack and protest about our culture, but we would be ridiculed, harrased, and called racist etc if we did the same thing. Can you imagine the outcry if a westerner stood on the street corner and burned photos of mohammed, protesting ramadan, or protesting the Sankranti festival in india, saying it was evil or something?
it seems like such double standards to me. why do people just not allow others to celebrate what they want, when they want. as long as they are not hurting anyone, what does it matter?
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoLess hungry since starting at gym?
I have been a lot less hungry since i have been going to the gym. this is very weird to me, because i would have thought that i would want to eat more since i am getting more exercise now. does anybody know the reason for this?
i have not really changed my diet in any way, as the purpose of joining the gym was not really to lose weight, but more to just get fit so that i could start enjoying sport again. i would have thought that i would be more hungry as i was using more energy up when i went to the gym, but that does not seem to be happening. is this normal, or am i just really weird?
9 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agocurly girl handbook?
this is a book by Lorraine Massey. has anybody used this process? did it work for you? i am a little doubtful, cause from what i can tell, you arent supposed to shampoo your hair? does the methods of cleaning mentioned work? what about when you hair is really dirty (like you have been swimming in chlorine or something?
i really just want to know whether it works, and whether your hair can still be clean and healthy? cause if it does work, that would be great.

2 AnswersNew South Wales (Sydney)1 decade agoDoes my exercise program sound ok?
I have been going to the gym in my lunch break (as this is the only time I can really get there). I do approx 5-6 mins on a bike. Then I do some hand weights (2ks) - about 15 times in two different ways each. then i do some lunges - about 15 per leg. then some more hand weights (again, about 15), then some squats (15). I do about 10 more lunges. then hop on the treadmill where i jog at about 8ks/hr for about 5 mins, then slow down to about 6ks for a walk for about 4 or 5 mins.
does this sound suitable, or should i be doing something else? should i do more reps than i do on the weights and lunges etc? does anybody have any ideas cause i dont seem to be losing weight yet. i have been going for about a month and a half now. is this too early to see much change?
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhy do so many americans assume they are the only country on yahoo answers?
I have found that many answers by americans in the questions assume that everyone on here is american. do some people just not know that there are other countries here as well? i am not trying to cause offence here, but it does annoy me a little.
i think everyone who writes a question where country is relevant should let people know where they have come from to avoid confusion. Does anybody else agree with this?

7 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhat is the best way to get a flatter stomach without sit ups?
I have scoliosis, so my back tends to hurt significantly after exercise if I do things like sit ups. However I would like to be able to get a flatter stomach. Does anyone have any ideas? Is it even possible to concentrate on my stomach without situps? I currently do the push bike, treadmill and stepper, as well as a little bit of hand weights, lunges, squats etc.

7 AnswersNew South Wales (Sydney)1 decade agoWhy is me getting fit a bad thing?
All my life I was really skinny naturally - no matter what I ate. I was constantly having to defend myself because of my weight. I became so self conscious that I never did any form of exercise at all - not even PE at school - the result now being that I find it hard to run to the end of the block. Over the past 5 years, I have gradually put on about 10 kilo's - bringing me up to 55kgs.
I am not really that concerned about my weight - more about my abysmal fitness levels. As such I have recently joined a gym - prompting ridicule from my so called friends. I believe they just feel bad about their own body, so they cant understand why me (who they see as much smaller than them) needs to join a gym. Cant they be happier for me because I am trying to better myself (once again - not through my weight, but through my fitness levels - therefore making me healthier overall).
What do others think?
