Does my exercise program sound ok?

I have been going to the gym in my lunch break (as this is the only time I can really get there). I do approx 5-6 mins on a bike. Then I do some hand weights (2ks) - about 15 times in two different ways each. then i do some lunges - about 15 per leg. then some more hand weights (again, about 15), then some squats (15). I do about 10 more lunges. then hop on the treadmill where i jog at about 8ks/hr for about 5 mins, then slow down to about 6ks for a walk for about 4 or 5 mins.

does this sound suitable, or should i be doing something else? should i do more reps than i do on the weights and lunges etc? does anybody have any ideas cause i dont seem to be losing weight yet. i have been going for about a month and a half now. is this too early to see much change?

Update:

i am definately on a time restriction, so the bike and treadmill are really more of a warm up and down than anything at this point. should i make sure that at least a few times a week, i should concentrate more on these things?

All of the activities you are doing are good, but your routine may not be the most effective at losing weight. The activity that burns the most calories is the treadmill, followed by the bike, then lunges, and lastly the hand weights. One way to improve your workout is to spend more time on the treadmill (at least 20 min.), and maybe do it slow enough so you can also hold 2.5 lb. weights in your hands and work your arms at the same time. Fitness sections of department stores usually carry small hand weights (one brand is called heavy hands). You could substitute the bike for the treadmill on some days. Then with the remainder of your time, you could alternate between lunges and squats on one day, and something like push ups and tummy crunches the other day. This approach should not take any more time, but it would give you a more rounded workout, improve your cardiovascular fitness, and burn more calories.

I would definetly give more time on the bike and on the treadmill, 5-6 mins on a bike won't do any good, try 15 minutes, and then try walking for 30 minutes in the treadmill and run 10, unless you feel very tired. As for the weights I'm not really sure, but sounds ok. If the time is not enough try doing 1 day bike, 1 day treadmill.

    Good luck

This is the best & faster option ever if you want to lose weight. I've tried almost everything trust me on this. I work out everyday for about 35 -45min 10min warm up on treadmill speed 6.5 then run for about 20min speed 10 continously then cool down for 5 min or more . I lost about 5kg in just 5 weeks without any diet.
