the snap on modis around $7500 i believe, followed by the otc genysis $3000 they will both give you quite a bit of information. oh you didnt want to spend that much money if it is and obd II car or can capable Mac tools sell a really good little code reader for about $60 much better than anything you are going to find in a parts store or walmart it is designed for technicians and works very well.

Really depends what you want to spend. Most auto supply stores carry code readers for 100-200$, but if you want a scanner to read codes as well as read your cars computer input data it will cost at least $2,000.

any code reader for your vehicle will give you the same codes. the most usefull are the digital display ones. the lowend chirping ones just chirp out the code and you have to count a series of beeps and it gets confusing especialy with the engine running. if it has a test mode it can talk to the car and run a test with the key on. these are the only features i can think of to look for.

If these 2 codes set together (P0606 and P1518) This is caused by an internal ignition control module failure! NOTE: Now that the codes have been documented, Clear the codes and see which returns!
