Do the English Need to Find Their Roots?
The debate about Englishness and how it differs from being British is set to continue. Particularly with the Grumpy Scotsman in charge. Before answering the question you might like to view this Utube video by the band "Show of Hands" and see if it inspires your answer.
Obviously this is too difficult a question for the vacuous. But thanks to VBH for your contribution, good luck finding yr roots.

I have lived in the USA for 29 years but I was born in England. My father is from England and my mother is from the Isle of Man. I have never been back and do not know 99% of my relatives (actually outside of my siblings and parents I only know 1 grandparent and 1 uncle). Not all Americans have roots in England or that area but many do but do not really know it. I think that it is good for everyone to know their roots and learn about the culture that their ancestors came from.
