What to get a young couple for their wedding?

A young couple I know is getting married soon. They already live together and have most of the household items such as dished, glasses, kitchen gadets, etc. What are some sort of fun luxery items that a poorer couple might not think to buy themselves becuase of money constraints? Just about every item on their registry has already been purchased. They don't need or want cooking items, cleaning items, or other traditional wedding gifts.

Update:

I don't want to give them money because the groom will just use it to add some stupid accessory to his car.

Silk or satin sheets or some really nice ones maybe embroidered.

A month paid at the Fitness Gym/tanning bed.

Somtimes you can get those artists in the mall to scetch a portrait of them (from a photo) then you could frame it. Personalize a cheaper frame to make it look expensive.

You could buy them like a day at the spa with each other. That would be so cute. Like a couples massage or something. You could buy like a gift certificate and put it in a basket filled with bath and relaxation stuff with a bottle of wine to add more of a special touch than just a gift certificate. They would love it especially if they planned the wedding themselves and aren't going on a honeymoon. Good Luck!

Some of the best wedding gifts are the ones that match the couple's personality or interests. At my wedding (since it was a second for both of us) many friends gave us Karaoke items (new mics, etc) and beautiful Items to hang on the wall. (a set of three crosses as we are active church members)

If the couple loves to go hiking, buy them a weekend at a B&B near a state park. Ask the Mother of the Bride or the Maid of Honor if you are unsure of the interests. They will remember your gift for many years to come.

    Favorite Movie Basket:

Fill a basket with their favorite DVD's, popcorn, and candy. Then they will have everything they need for a quiet night at home.

    A Pampered Gift Basket:

Fill a basket with massage oil, scented candles, bath salt, body lotion, a puff, small back massager, a CD of soft instrumental music and maybe a book of fun massage ideas for a couple. Then they can have a night of pampering together.

    Stock The Bar:

Get different types of alcohol, martini and shot glasses along with a book on how to make your own cocktails.

    Romance Basket:

Champagne glasses, Champagne, chocolates, strawberries, body paint, massage oils and candles.

A gift card to a nice restaurant just because they're married doesn't mean they can't date or if you know where they are going on their honeymoon call the hotel and see if they have gift baskets for the room or a gift certificate for something they can do while they are away.

How about a new television, stereo or some other electronic that is not usually a necessity. Other nontraditional gifts can be a tool set, his and her bikes, or a gift certificate for an experience (cooking lesson, sky diving, etc.)

You could buy them vouchers for plane tickets worth a certain amount of money. My fiance and I love to travel, but don't to save more money for our house. That is a perfect gift for a young couple...a chance to get away together!
