If in a funeral procession most likely.

If not a cop *MAY* let it slide but technically their motto is

"Out of the womb, but before the tomb"

so if it aint born yet or if it is dead, than no.

As long as the driver is blasting "Another One Bites the Dust" then yes he is allowed. I loved that commercial.

Truthfully- no he or she is not allowed- a pregnant coworker of mine received a ticket for that and she could not get out of it. I would imagine a dead person doesn't count either.

What if the second person died while already in the carpool lane?

Wouldn't it be real funny if a cop gave a ticket to the hearse driver, who then tried to argue this point in court?

As long as there's a living passenger in the hearse.

The corpses must be in a seated position and buckled in with strings attached to their hands so they can wave at the police officers when they drive by.

Hey just cuz you're dead doesn't mean you're not a person. Besides the corpse is probably more aware of his surroundings than most drivers on the road.

NO it was tried and the guy lost in court.
