can i sue mcdonalds?
when i was younger, i could wash the dishes without using rubber gloves, without any worries about it affecting my skin.
about 10 years ago, i worked for mcdonalds for about 3 years, during which time, i developed skin contact dermiatitis, through the use of their cleaning chemicals. i was never provided with gloves while using them. even now, i cannot do the dishes without using them, and i am always worried about another breakout.

You are passed the Statute of Limitations which is three years.

As far as it being beyond the statute of limitations, yah, it probably is, but you can apply to have the period extended. Especially if the problem only occured recently, I mean, how could you sue over something you didn't know you would get.
Just because you can sue, does not mean you would win.
You would have to prove that you have sufferred some sort of loss that negatively affects your life. I don't think having to wear gloves when you wash dishes is really worth millions in damages.
Also, my understanding of contact dermatitis is more likely that it was a condition you already had which was "triggered" not caused by the chemicals.

You can sue McDonald (it's your right!) as long you have evidence that their cleaning chemicals causes you skin problem. (get a sample of that thing and bring to the lab and have them check for you) suing where you work will lose you a job and it takes time.. good luck hope you win..>!

You may have a Statute of Limitations problem, for filing the claim, because you waited too long to file a claim, and you did not give notice of your medical problem while working at McDonald's.
You need to contact an attorney.

It would be impossible for you to prove that something you did at Mcdonalds caused this problem, even if it was three weeks ago. For something 10 years ago the judge would laugh you out of the courtroom. You have to be able to prove cause and effect.

Past the stauate of limitations. Sorry there. If you are truly injured or wronged by someone deal with it ASAP, not 7-10 years later. Now you just look like your a money grubber.

Hmmm...probably not--it's been too long of a time between your employment there and your current condition.
UNLESS you get a class action lawsuit going...try that route.

You would have to provide conclusive evidence showing that McDonald's is responsible for your condition. It can't be based on speculation.

It also depends on the state you live in. In the state of indiana I am sure you can not sue your employer.
