Question about my cats hair.?

It's been almost a year since she's been fixed, obviously the vet shaved her, but the hair never grew back. I'm kind of worried, I mean why wouldn't the hair grow back? She has a huge patch of just .. bald under her stomach. Did something happen, did he cut her hair too short, and it's just never going to grow back. Another question .. recently I've notice she has a few smalll bald spots, one on her hind leg, and one little one on her side. Does maybe her breed have problems with hair growth, or is she doing it herself, maybe she's nervous? Any help would be much appreciated.

Update:

I'm actually not 100% sure what she is, but the vet did say she had siemese in her.

Update 2:

Whoops i didnt mean to hit submit. She's like a smokey gray with black stripes, and she has big blue-green eyes. So siemese is about the closest thing I can see in her.

Thats really weird, The shaved part i dont understand, that should most def. be back by now. But with the balding, somtimes they get like a dry spot kinda and like, they itch it and they lose hair there, iv had a siemese for a long time and every so often he gets that under his chin. it rubs it on stuff, even soft stull, ie a couch, but after like a month it grows back, maybe you should give a discription of what kind of cat it is.

I read about a lady whose cat who was 3 years old who developed bald areas and wound up the cat had seasonal allergies. I do not know about why your kitty is still not growing fur where she was shaved. You should ask your vet about that and ask about possible allergies as to why she is going bald in other areas. I hope she is doing ok otherwise and you find the root of the problem. Best wishes to you and your kitty.

Here is the website for that question and answer for that possibility: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Cats-1606/CAT-BALD-SPOT... THE LAST 3 WKS MY CAT HAS STARTED LOSING HER HAIR IN SPOTS (MAINLY HER REAR AND SIDES) SHE IS CONSTANTLY LICKING THESE AREAS. (THE SPOTS LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN SHAVED WITH A RAZOR) I HAD SWITCHED HER TO PURINA CAT FOOD BUT HAVE SINCE SWITCHED BK TO ORIGINAL BRAND (SHE DOES NOT HAVE ANY FLEAS, SO I WAS THINKING FOOD ALLERGY) THIS DOES NOT SEEM TO BE HELPING AT ALL. SHE IS ABOUT 3 YRS OLD AND NOT SPAYED AND IS AN INSIDE ONLY CAT. NOTHING ELSE HAS CHANGED IN OUR HOUSE SO I'M NOT SURE WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS. SHE HAS LOTS OF ENERGY AND DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ILL. ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE WILL BE APPRIECIATED.

Sounds like seasonal allergies to me. Cats, like people, can suddenly develope and suddenly outgrow seasonal allergies. Her allergies might not be to things blooming but something else, house dust, pollen, perfume, anything you can imagine. Take her to the vet, probably all she needs is a tiny little pill daily or every few days. Do not be alarmed at this. I had a cat that had allergies for about 5 years, she started on 2 pills a day, then one a day, then one every other day, then one a week, then one a month and has now out grown her allergies. This may not be a lifelong thing.

Have your cat checked for ringworm, which can cause bald patches in a cat's fur. It's very contageous and since she was in the veterinarian hospital with many other animals it's a distinct possibility. Maybe do a search on the internet first and look at the pictures of cats with ringworm. You should be able to tell if it looks anything like what your cat has. If so, take her to a vet immediately for treatment.

    Best of luck.

I work at a local animal shelter and I have seen allot of spays been done. We have one cat there , her hair never grew back after her spay either. She had two babies(both females) when they were spayed there hair did not grow either. So I'm thinking its just in the genes. As far as the bald spots, do you notice her pulling out her hair? It could be due to stress. Is she overweight? Some cats that are overweight over groom themselves.

you ought to marketplace them as Mohair Pants, or Purgatory Pants. you will possibly hafta discover some very inexpensive hard artwork to make 'em...! jogs my memory of an previous Elton John music: "She's have been given electric powered boots - a mohair in high quality condition you already know I examine it in a mag, oh, B-B-B-Bennie and the jetsssssssssss....."
