Any Ideas on starting a Christian church?

I am a Christian pastor who is going to strart a Christian non denominational church in Oklahoma designed to reach people that currently have no interest in going to church. If you have any serious advise from the name of the church, legalities, normal start up problems, recommeded websites, or ways to reach the target audience, I would appriciate it. Please only serious comments. Thank you.

All states are different. But make sure you:

    1) Get insurance. Church Mutual has some pretty good basic liability policies.

    2) Get incorporated and become a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation.

    3) Get a federal tax I.D. number.

As for the "non-denominational" part - I don't agree that there should be such a thing, so - I'll just leave it at the legalities.

    Good luck and God bless.

  • 1) Pray for Yahweh's (God's) guidance

    2) Contact state government office about local laws on starting a church

    3) In order to reach a "target audience", again go to scriptures and pray to God. For far too long people (Christians) in this nation have relied on "religion" and do not have a "relationship" with Yahweh or His Son Yeshua (Jesus Christ).

    4) Problems I have heard about:

    a) People interpreting Yahweh's Holy Word (Bible) according to "their personal preferences". Instead of the way it was intended by Yahweh.

    b) Problems within a certain community, such as to the location of a church building or the level of noise during a service.

I have been trying to find a church, which embraces the Jewish roots of Christianity. Personally, I do not celebrate 'christmas' and do not 'worship' on Sunday.

Because, the Bible does not give a specific date of Yeshua's birth. Celebrating it on a day, that according to history was connected to paganism seems unGodly and unBiblical. Also, Sunday came about to celebrate the 'sun god'. So, I worship on Saturday, which according to Jewish roots; is the Sabbath Day.

Hope this has been of some help.

May Yahweh and Yeshua's Blessings, be on you and your family!

I'd really just encourage you to start in Acts, and draw from God's plan for the church. Churches today are far from what God wants. If you can't back up a plan you have with scripture, then you must do away with it.

women folk at my church might take turns at each others properties for play dates. we would have snacks and a lot of toys for the little ones to stay fascinated with why us mothers chatted. at an analogous time as the little ones are occupied the mothers could desire to flow over a devotional e book mutually. a tenet is God's devotional e book for mothers by utilising Honor Books. have relaxing!

How about starting a home church? Invite people who are interested and ask them to invite non-Christian friends.

Altruism, wisdom, patience... etc. all the Christlike qualities that made Jesus as wonderfully compassionate as he was. Non-judgemental acceptance, wisdom altruism and patience... and did I mention altruism? Then reach out to the downtrodden as much as you can...
