I want a tattoo on my foot.....?
Any one have any ideas of what I should get. It will be on my right foot because I've got a bouquet on my left ankle. Also how much does it hurt? I've heard it can be pretty painful because all of the bones in our feet? Thanks a bunch.

I'm a freak, maybe you are too. To me the more bony the area, the less it hurts.
As for ideas, I'm thinking about putting an old school skull and cross bones on one of my feet. I think semi evil art on a lady is cool, and a change from all the butterflies and such. Good luck.

I just recently got a foot tattoo. Pain for each person is diffrent. A lot of women say, "If you given birth, then it's a walk in the park in comparison" To me the pain kept shifting depending where the needle was. The worst I felt was on the sides where it felt like a combination of a wasp sting and a cat scratch...it burns and stings at the same time.
However in the middle of my foot toward the top (the area furthest away from the toes) it seriously just felt like my foot was vibrating and sort of tickled.
They say the outline hurts the most and I agree and disagree. For me what really got me was when they stopped and had to go back to it, during the out line there are more stops.
Best of luck to you

A lot of tattoo artists will NOT tattoo feet hands or above the neck. the skin is different and the ink spreads quickly (eg. it becomes blurry and not as beautiful as intended) also your shoes will wear away the ink quickly and if you wear sandals u must remember to SPF 40 your feet also. Yes the bones and nerve clusters in your feet will make it difficult to tattoo and painful. also feet pick up more bacteria than other areas. why not a wreath of bumblebees and butterflies (insects that support flowers) around your other ankle or a line of them waving as they go up the same leg?

My friend just got a tat on her foot, with no spectacular comments on pain. I tattooed myself on both feet (the toes) and found the pain normal for tats. The problem doesn't lie so much with the bones as the veins, at least for me. I have very thin skin with the veins blue and close to the skin, so no reputable parlour will touch my feet. On the other hand, I also have a terribly high pain threshold, thanks to years of pain from genetic deformities and botched surgeries. On your feet, I would recommend something very floral and decorative, perhaps winding up the foot to the opposite angle. Grape leaves, morning glories, roses, ivy; all very delicate, feminine, and beautiful.

I have a tattoo on each foot. Yes it's going to hurt, but not as bad as you will think. The way I psych myself up is I think of it hurting to so badly that my skin is ripping off. It's never that bad, you'll do fine.
As for something to get, what do you like? Butterflies, bumble bee's, stars? Just make sure it's you and that you love it!

I have a chinese symbol for "live for today" on my foot, and a dragonfly on my big toe. I have six tattos in all, and by far, the ones on my foot hurt THE WORST. It is really painful, I won't lie. But, it is usually quick, however they do require frequent touch-ups, because your socks and shoes make them fade easy. I love them though, and get lots of compliments. It's worth the pain...lol.

Maybe your zodiac sign? There's a ton of different ways to display those, I guess it depends on your sign too.
They all hurt in one way or another. The less "meat" around the area, the more painful. So unless you have fat feet (I doubt it) its gonna hurt some.
