Good place for a very small wedding reception?

I am having a VERY small wedding.. 13 people tops.. i need to find someplace small with a kitchen to have the dinner afterward.. was thinking like a clubhouse in an apartment building or something. Anyone have any ideas??

Update:

I can't afford to do the whole resturant thing (we are on a VERY tight budget which is why there will only be 13 people there for the dinner) My moms cooking so outside doesnt work it has to have a kitchen

Depends on what your wedding budget is. We had 80 people at our wedding at $75 per plate. If we only had 13 people at our wedding that would have ended up being $461 a plate if we kept the same budget! But with ONLY 13 people to service, I would have your reception at the nicest restaurant you can find. Many have private areas for large parties. Trying to give you good ideas, but seriuosly......without knowing your budget it's hard to say.

I'm thinking your best bet may be to have it at a friend/family members house. You didn't mention what time of year it will be during/where u live....may be you could have it outside and cookout. But, you can also try the church's reception hall, your local fire department's reception hall, your local VFW/Elk lodge, or a nearby hotel/motel-most have banquet/reception rooms that are not too expensive to rent especially if you don't have them cater. Maybe you could rent a small reception room (or the apartment club house sounds really good too) --and have a pot luck reception. I'm sure your closeset family & freinds (which is who I assume is all that will be coming) would not have a problem with that knowing you are working off of a strict, small budget.

Clubhouses of fraternal organizations such as Knights of Columbus, VFW Hall, Moose Club, sons of Italy. Your idea is good too. Why not a restaurant? It wouldn't cost that much

Do you, your betrothed, or any of your parents, relatives, or close friends have a house?

    Or even a large apartment?

No reason to rent a place for such a small wedding and reception.

Try a bed and breakfeast. Alot of them can do it with food and rooms for $2,500 for the weekend and some come with pools.

They have the wedding in the garden at the bed and breakfeast

The B&B idea is a good one. So is the lodge. Couples are opting to have their ceremony & reception all in one place, for this very reason.

Clubhouse is good, you might condsider a friend's home, as well.
