how seriously are you taking these answers?

Apparently Yahoo takes EVERYTHING very seriously....

A few of them do look like attempts to do something cool, and wanting to know what the "cool & inked" people do. I'd guess a number of the requesters are fairly young; the question may seem to them in the same vein as "What do I wear to this party?". Thinking deeply and long is for old farts anyhow. :)

Tattoos are becoming so in with some in the almost-old-enough-for-them crowd that there's a practically a rush; enhanced by the impatience of age (like most of us even now), anything outside of a quick, direct answer seems like too much effort. This *especially* with something like YA & the instant gratification of the 'net.

The last one, though, the care & such... that could be, especially in the case of the newly tattooed, is that they were told what to do and spaced. I remember after my first I was a little loopy. Sure, I'd researched it pretty heavily and had taken copious notes, and the place I went to gave me printed notes, but I was feeling so stoned afterwards that I wouldn't have clearly recalled anything outside of general instructions. I wouldn't be surprised if their shops didn't provide such printed usefulness.

Yes, you are right...must be youngsters. I wonder why they are asking,"What cream can I put on my new tattoo?" I think to myself, "Didn't the tattoo artist tell the person how to care for it? Well, yes, he/she did.". I remember when my kids got their tattoos, they took very good care of them and they planned out what they were gonna get (behind my back, lol)long before they actually went. They really should wait until they know themselves a little better.

I guess that they just want to know other's opinions. Tattoos are kind of a big deal, in that you'll have them for a while. I would really hope that someone wouldn't just blindly go with whatever someone in northern Idaho or someplace says...

different artists give you different aftercare advice. the girl i just went to told me not to use A&D, but the guy i used to go to told me i should...its just confusing i guess and people just want to know what worked for others...

The way most do it is just they get ideas from others, and then decide on their own. . . At least I hope that what they do. . . . because blindly following someone's idea in not the best thing in the world.

More importantly...WHY don't people use the "check spelling" option that is CLEARLY IN VIEW???? Do they really want to look uneducated?

Well, to add to this...my biggest beef is it that no one does searches on questions asked hundreds of times like:

Does it hurt?

Then they wonder why we flip out at times.

people like to be reassured, and if they are anything like me that like to be chatty about it...asking some of these questions is just an attempt to have conversation and meet peeps and stuff....
