Wedding Songs?
So, I'm getting married August 2008...So there's still a lot of time left. But, I've been having a hard time finding good, meaningful weddings songs. Like first dance and also the father daughter dance song.
Any ideas would help.
My fiance and I both grew up on the older country. Conway Twitty, ect...but are really open to anything.
As for the father daughter dance...same... older country, prefferably....but, any ideas will help!!!!
Thanks in advance!!!!!

I really want to walk down the aisle to Shawn McDonald's "Here I Am". My maid of honor is singing Des'ree's "Kissing You" during the lighting of the unity candle.
While the mother's are being seated, my future father in law is singing Billy Joel's "She's Got A Way".
Father daughter dance is "My Girl".
No idea what the mother son dance is, because they can't give me an answer. LOL
I know there aren't country....
A few other ideas:
Brad Paisley's "She's Everything To Me"
And John Goodman just came out with a brand new wedding song. It's gorgeous!
Good luck!!!

If you want old country there is a ton to choose from. Some newer ones are I loved her first by Heartland for the daddy daughter dance. Bring it on home by Little big Town, or even it's a long trip alone by Dierks Bently (I love his voice). Or you could go with the usual Shania. Don't forget Rascal Flatts, they've had a couple big hits you could use for a first dance (Bless the Broken Road, etc.)

I am also interested in older country music. But here are some newer songs that you may be interested in:
From this Moment On- Shania Twain
When I Said I Do- Clint and Lisa Hartman Black
It's Your Love- Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
I Cross my Heart- George Strait
I hope these work!

For the father daughter dance you can include "Sunrise Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof. For your first dance " I Finally Found Someone" would be good.
Also "The Way You Look Tonight"

For the first dance I love any song by George Strait 'I cross my heart' or Lonestar 'Amazed'
For the father daughter dance Tim Mcgraw 'My little girl'
or Heartland 'I loved her first' or Tanya Tucker 'Daddy's hands'
I hope these help you... and good luck
