Personally that's still too pricey for me. If they drop it another 100 dollars i'll go for it, but i think that sony screwed up bigtime w/ the ps3. Not including things that should be included so you have to shell out 600 bucks for the console & then spend MORE money for accessories & cables that should be included to begin with.
I already have a Wii which I love, but i want to get a 360 as well. I plan on getting the premium bundle for 399 which includes the wireless control, xbox live headset, HDMI cables, and a few other cool items. I'm not terribly desperate to be one of the first to have a PS3 so i'm content just waiting for the price to drop a bit more before i invest in one.

the ps3 is a good system, whether its worth $500 is up for debate. a lot of people are forgetting the actual capabilities of the system.
its still the only system on the market that is Blu-Ray compatible. so once Blu-Ray starts becoming more and more popular, the ps3 will become quite valuable to most people. because it will be able to play all those dvd's that otherwise you with your xbox360 would have to go out and buy a blu-ray dvd player to be able to watch. let's all face it, we can all say "well when that happens I just wno't buy blu-ray" but deep down, we all know that we'll give in, buy a $300 fancy new dvd player to play them and then spend tons of money buying the actual dvd's. that's how it always works.
however the ps3 currently doesn't have much for great games yet, I haven't seen 1 game on that system that appealed to me. It's only been out for a few months, so I can write that off. The Xbox360 has been out for over a year I believe, and I've tried dozens of games for that system and I have not found 2 that I liked. The 1 game I liked for the 360 was actually one of the 3 Burger King exclusive games. That's pathetic.

Stick to the Xbox 360. It is way better than the PS3. I would suggest that you just keep your old 360 because its not worth buying a new 360 for $400.

Im a fan of the playstation and since you already have the other two get a playstation... There is no point in waisting money on one that is already good because after you by the new xbox another better one will come out... however with high definition that would be pretty awesome

If you have a 360 and a Wii, you will not get much benefit from the PS3. You have the best of both worlds right now; power and fun.
If you really want the add'l features of the updated 360, save your money for that.

If you have a 360 and a Wii already, then there's no point in getting a PS3...yet. Wait til they drop to $300 or so.

its only a debate but ya they might drop the price in october or some thing, but in my opinion its not even worth it. ps3 has 2 good games.resistance fall of man and moto storm, and to top it all off there lossing bueniss and prodution of ps3 have stoped. so if your real hard core about this than sure. but to me its not woth it, not buy a long shot

Stick with the XBOX 360. Sony is busy pissing off third party companies, while Microsoft is getting more exclusive licenses and rights to exclusive games and franchises.
