I challange you to seek God like never before this week. I challenge you to make time to pray, fast, read the Word of God and educate yourselves.
I challenge you to pray for a renewal of faith.
I challenge you to re-evaluate what it means to be a follower of Christ in your eyes.
I challenge you to live as Christ has instructed us... not as judgers of men... yet still being disciples of Christ.
I challenge you to make a positive movement forward, for the better.
Coming here has helped me to realize that I want only a genuine relationship with Christ... and not get caught up in the traditions that are independent of my salvation.
I don't want to be like them... those who claim to be Christians, but do not live like Christians and are not even trying to... the ones who only wear the title. I want to be better.
Will you take this challenge with me... so that we may represent our God as he deserves to be represented!
If we want to reach them, then it begans with us!

I accept your challenge!! Your challenge came in at the right time. I am a Christian and have been since I was 14. I try daily to live my life "Chirst Like". I think that every day is a challenge. We are to "die out daily" to sin. I pray that each and every one of you have the strength to make it through the day. That God surrounds us all in his love. Reading what some people have written here is bothering. Like one person has said that we are trying to be better than others? No that is the wrong idea here. God said we are to be different than others..we should "stick out" from others. When we accept Chirst as our savior we are to change...we are not to do the same things as we did before.. we are to strive to be "Christ like". We as Christians ARE suppose to help others in need...we arnt suppose to act like we are better than others. We are to show others love and kindness..As Christ would.

Only this week?
I challenge you to make it a life-time habit to set aside time for studying God's Word, and praying for those who love you --and also those who hate you.
Why not start praying for Captain? You never know what God will do in answer to your faithful prayers.
But that's the big challenge, to be faithful day in day out, not just do something in a burst of emotion.
I commend you for your desire to become a better Christian. My life verse is John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."... and I have learned that the closer I walk with God the more He changes me and it then affects those I come in contact with.

I don't see that incident as Jesus difficult the law. Extra like Jesus challenging the unholy practices within the church. However anyway, in the USA, Christian citizens have the equal rights as any other residents, and this includes political energy. In our type of executive, we task the law in a form or ways, both with the aid of new legislation or by means of utilising the Courts to deliver a correct interpretation.

It's really refreshing to hear a fellow believer so fired up for the Lord! I know I've been challenged by the Lord to seek Him more fervently as well. Your challenge reminds me of what, I believe it was, Dwight L. Moody said one time, "The world has yet to see a man fully yielded to God" or something to that effect.
You are quite right: I know I don't want to be like those people who are Christians nominally, that is, in name only. But man, I want to be a normal Christian: one that is on fire, that seeks God with fervency. A friend from my church showed me this really neat excerpt from a book called "It's Time to Seek God" or something like that (I can't recall anything right now!). The excerpt was about this older man with a younger fellow: both served and loved the Lord. However, the older fellow had much more experience in his relationship with the Lord. One day, they were both in a lake, and the elderly man just suddenly dunked the other guy under water. After a while, the young guy under water began to panic as he needed air. When the old gent let the other guy surface, he said, "When you seek God as you sought that air, then you will find Him." Talk about powerful!
I accept your challenge. I only hope more will accept it as well. ^_^ Take care and God bless!

I challenge you to pray for me that god will touch my heart and make me a believer this week.
I'm all for it. But if it doesn't happen, what will be your response then?
I ask this every time someone posts something like you've done here.
And I'm totally open and willing to be a believer in Christ. However, for some reason, no touching of my heart has happened. I wonder if... just maybe... I know something you don't?

Sounds like a works program to me.
No works program for me thank you.
I'll accept the work He did for me and that is sufficient.
I think I'll let God represent Himself.
I think He can do a far better job than I ever could.
My worship takes place in Spirit and in TRUTH as it is supposed to.
Internal, get it.
I don't have to impress anyone.
I am God's workmanship. OLAY!

I take this challenge daily and willingly. It is a challenge due to Satan's influence. If you are to re-evaluate who you are; you need to have accurate knowledge as to what the bible says.
It is by this means that those who inaccurately follow its instructions learn what pleasing God really means, what he truely has done for us through his son Jesus Christ. We learn how he has treated his people before and why. We can also learn what that means for us.
The bible tells us that this means "everlasting life" taking in knowledge of the only true God and the one he sent forth, Jesus Christ. Notice the everlasting part, showing how important this really is to each one of us.
One way we can do this and show our appreciation is by starting a bible study of our own and letting someone help us to learn what it really says.
Also, remember Jesus for the memorial as it was a direct command to his disciples before his death, keep doing this in rememberance of me. I would like to invite all of you to this special occassion through this link:

i do no longer see that incident as Jesus problematic the regulation. greater like Jesus problematic the unholy practices interior the church. yet besides, interior the U. S., Christian electorate have a similar rights as the different electorate, and this includes political ability. In our form of government, we project the regulation in a type or procedures, the two by ability of latest legislations or by ability of using the Courts to deliver a splendid interpretation.

I believe in Jesus, but why should I fast?? Why should Jesus want me to fast??
You know what the problem with some Christians? They think they are too good. You say you want to be better than the others? Why would you want to be better? Why would I want to be better than anyone?
I will pray for you instead!!
Peace!
