Question about the 1800's...?

This is a large topic. I think it is best if you pick one, two or three main areas at most and compare and contrast those areas of difference:

For example:

1) Transportation

1800s- Trains, Horse drawn carriages

Today- Automobiles, Airplanes what effect has airplanes had on bringing the world together

2) Healthcare

1800s - What was known about germs and diseases in the 1800s. Did they have antibiotics then to figh infection. How was surgery performed. Did they have medical specialists for cancer, neurology, surgery, nephrology, urology etc.

Today - Medical is a multi-billion dollar business. Modern drugs and pills for everything. Specialized operating theatres and diagnostic equipment like CAT-scans and MRIs.

Education - primary schools for example, etc...

locate some primary or secondary sources that are from or focused on that time period, compare the way life is described in those sources, and compare it to modern life.

If you have to choose one specific area, I would choose technology, since that's where the most, obvious change has been.

i suggest u talk about the difference between about the kind of clothing form that time to this one
