What are the Health risks associated with Long Haul Flying and how can you minimise them?
I fly several thousand KMs to and from work once a month which includes a 12 1/2hr long haul flight in Economy class. The obvious health problems such as DVT and jetlag I know about but I would like to know what other issues there are and how I can minimise the risks to my health (other than not flying which is not an option)
For your information I am 1m82 tall and weigh 75kg (6ft and 165lbs 11st11lbs) so to be called a fatty or big bertha really is both insulting to me and to anyone who might be overweight. I suggest you keep you moronic opinions to yourself in future.
I do know most of the basic health risks and take the usual precautions (although with the stupid liquid restrictions it is hard to drink enough water). What I am looking for is more the long term effects of repeated long haul flying/jetlag etc.
And thanks to everyone who has supplied sensible, intelligent answers.

Drink plenty of water, wear flight socks, keep moving, try not to eat fatty foods whilst flying, keep fit before the flight.
I flew to New Zealand from UK and an old guy died during the flight.... not nice!

Drink lots of water, stretch a lot, wear comfortable shoes that could allow for your feet to expand, and do not drink alcohol as it dehydrates you.
