Is Nancy Pelosi comitting treason?

The President and State Department asked her not to go to Syria. She is talking to the President of Syria, a country that is supporting the insurgents in Iraq. The President and the State Department decide what the US Foreign Policy is supposed to be, not the Speaker of the house.

Should Nancy Peloci be arrested for comitting treason?

If it isn't treason, it is about as close as one can get. With all the foolishness going on in the government right now, I fear we are going to pay a huge price for her activities also. She 's dangerous.

I don't like Nanci Pelosi, I'll jump out and say that first.

However, I don't think this amounts to treason. She would most likely claim that she was trying to help the U.S. and it would a major $#$#& storm trying to prove her intent otherwise. Also, she was not forbidden to go, she was ASKED not to go. Big difference. I don't think it was a smart move, regardless of her position because SHE CANNOT SPEAK FOR THE PRESIDENT. Unless the president himself asked her to go on his behalf, which he didn't, then she can make no assurances or promises about the U.S. foreign policy. This boils down to nothing more than a public relations stunt that I think will not serve Nancy well. A Senator undermining The President of the United States for whatever reason, no matter what you believe, is in the worst possible taste.

    That's not treason, it's politics.

She could only commit treason if she did something that directly jeopardized the safety of the United States.

Just because she did something the opposite party disagreed with does not make her a criminal, and the same is true when George Bush does something the democrats don't like.

The difference between democrats and republicans is that in most cases the republican party is more mature and level headed when it comes to dealing with things like that.

A case in point is when the majority of the republican party voted against impeachment for BIll Clinton due to the Monica Lewinski scandal.

If George W. Bush did the same thing he would be impeached without question, and the reason is because the democratic party wants power so bad that they will do anything to get it, whether it makes good sense or not.

The republican party has proven to be far more mature in dealing with similar situations.

First why is Nancy a traitor? I genuinely have copied the structure on what a traitor is: section 3. Treason antagonistic to usa, shall consist merely in levying war antagonistic to them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them help and luxury. no man or woman will be convicted of treason until eventually on the testimony of two witnesses to a similar overt act, or on confession in open courtroom. The Congress shall have capacity to declare the punishment of treason, yet no attainder of treason shall artwork corruption of blood, or forfeiture except in the course of the existence of the guy attainted. humorous difficulty is Nancy did not commit a treasonous act. advice: imagine for your self for once.

Nancy Pelosi is the third in line for the Presidency DOLT

She needed to go before BUSH came up with another pack of lies !!!!

In reporting that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is planning a visit to Syria accompanied by a bipartisan congressional delegation this week, several media outlets highlighted White House criticism of Pelosi's trip but did not note that a Republican-led delegation met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus on April 1 -- nor did they note the White House's inconsistency in criticizing Pelosi for her trip but remaining silent on the GOP-led visit.

Indeed, on April 1, Reps. Frank Wolf (R-VA), Joseph R. Pitts (R-PA) and Robert Aderholt (R-AL) traveled to Damascus and met with Assad, two days before Pelosi's scheduled trip

As did Alren spector last fall!

Four U.S. soldiers were killed in combat in Iraq on Monday, the U.S. military said, bringing the U.S. death toll since the invasion to 3,257.

Two U.S. soldiers and a Marine were killed in separate attacks in the volatile western Anbar province, the heartland of the Sunni Arab insurgency.

One soldier died and three were wounded when a large truck bomb exploded outside a police station in the disputed northern city of Kirkuk. Two policemen and 10 civilians were also killed.

Bush is the one who suggested that the global community needs to reach out to Syria.

Are you suggesting that the US is not part of the global community?

I guess I just don't understand then...what community is the US part of? Or none at all?

In that case you better not use the internet, because that's the quickest way to communicate globally. Could be quite offensive to you!
