Getting married in Nashville?

My fiancee and I are getting married next May and we're thinking of going to Nashville. It's kind of a compromise as she wanted Hawaii and I wanted guests but neither of us know much about Nashville. We are looking at Cedarwood to do the ceremony and reception but if anyone has any suggestions that would be cool. We'd likely have less than 50 people. Also we're looking at photographers in the area. Any suggestions along those lines would be good too. Thanks from both of us.

The city itself is very nice and would provide lots of things for people to get involved with beyond your wedding (if people are traveling to Tennessee instead of residing there). Cedarwood is nice as are most of the newly renovated hotels. The Maxwell House Hotel and Union Station are also very nice venues. I'd recommend my old university chapel as it is gorgeous and small but May in Nashville can be quite warm and we don't have A/C in the chapel. You might want to settle on a specific part of town based on the weekend in question. Anything close to one of the universities around the same time as graduation could be hard to book (especially hotel wise) and rather crowded with people. Oh you might also check on or near Vanderbilt's campus. There are plenty of places around there and one nice hotel close to good shopping and easy highway access (name is escaping me now). Good luck and have fun.

My fiance and I are having an outdoor ceremony right outside of Nashville at a little bed and breakfast. I don't know exactly the type of ceremony you are looking for, but if that was an interesting idea to you, I could let you know how it goes for us. It's simple and country and would perfectly suit your guest count of 50 or less.

Also, we have hired a photographer out of Nashville. She does a lot of commercial work for music artists and models in Nashville and Chicago, and she also does a lot of weddings and studio portraits. Her pictures look great and we are really excited to have such a wonderful photographer even for our smaller, less formal wedding. That is one thing we wanted to spend a little more on because pictures will last forever! :)

If you would like, I could keep you informed of how things go for us with the B&B and the photographer. Just let me know if you are interested! Lovethesun11@yahoo.com
