Yes, you have to eat 4-6 small meals a day. Eat something in the morning for breakfast so your body doesn't think you're going to starve it all day. Your body slows your metabolism if it's hungry and it will hold on to your fat. Then, eat something SMALL a couple hours later. And then a couple more hours later, eat something small again. Like, maybe eat eggs and whole grain toast in the morning, then next thing you eat is an apple, then a salad, then a burger (but no fries lol) all day, just keep feeding yourself and you'll notice you won't get hungry and over eat. Keep doing it all day and all night if you have to... I hear that some people don't eat past 7pm... but if you eat small portions of food all day, that's healthier thant 3 large meals and then cutting off at 7pm. Your biggest meal should be your breakfast, or the second time you eat. For every calorie a pound of fat burns, a pound of muscle can burn 50 of them.

You can rev up your metabolism by working out for (at the very least) 30 minutes to an hour... your metabolism stays high for 12-24 hours after you exercise, depending on the intensity and duration. To burn fat, you want to keep your heartrate in the "aerobic" zone. This especially works if you work out later in the afternoon, because you will then burn more of the calories from dinner (this does NOT mean you can eat more at dinner though! :P)
Like another answerer said, you should also gain muscle... muscle burns more calories than fat does, even when you're just sitting at your computer, watching TV, or even sleeping. You don't necessarily have to bulk up, but using light weights to start out with will tone your muscle, which will also help you look more lean.

Metabolism embraces the processes (digestion, absorption and assimilation of dietary intake) by which cells chemically intercept and distribute energy as it continually passes through an organism. Basically to accelerate this process you must consume probiotics/digestive enzymes in the form of live enzyme probiotic pills, fresh raw fruits and vegetables, and yogurts and milks that contain probiotic blends like acidopholous and bifidus. When you speed the conversion of foods to energy this way, your metabolism streamlines and provides you with constant and complete energy from the foods you eat, giving you a feeling of elevated energy, which shouldnt be confused by the endorphin release and 'high' that comes from exercising.
