Passover has NOTHING to do with Jesus dying for anybody's sin! Read the story of it in the Old Testament. The Israelites were required to spread the blood of a lamb on their doorposts so that the death angel would recognize them from the Egyptians and not kill them. Passover was instituted to commorate this event--it was not done as a sin sacrifice at all, it was a MEMORIAL of an event. In fact, if you would take the time to actually read the laws, you will see that a male lamb was never used as a sin sacrifice--it was usually a bull or a female lamb. Poor people could substitute two turtledoves or two young pigeons, or even a measure of grain. A male goat was used in the case of the scapegoat, when the sins of all Israel were placed on its head and then it was sent into the desert. Thus we see that Jesus, "the lamb of God," was not only the wrong animal, he was the wrong gender!
Christians are utterly ignorant regarding Jewish laws and customs, yet they don't hesitate to steal some of them for themselves, as if they know anything about it. Hell, they don't even know what their own Bible says, yet they presume to tell Jews what to believe!

Passover? I've been a Christian all my life and have never heard of a single Christian Religion marking Passover. Perhaps I'm not up to date but I thought this was a Jewish Tradition?

>>I thought Passover started last night?! Anyway, I did not forget. If you have never done so, get a book on the Passover seder from a Messianic perspective. Very interesting how much symbolism there is in it. All Christians should really investigate how much there is to learn from the HOLYdays...and I do not mean Isthar (Easter aka pagan holiday).

Don't kid yourself with this Passover nonsense.
Passover was for the Jews.
Jesus became our Passover when he fulfilled all that was written about him in the law, the prophets, and the psalms.
At the Last Supper, Jesus gave us the definitive sacrifice of the new covenant that forever fulfilled the Jewish Passover, and also served as the eternal remembrance of his saving work on our behalf, as members of his church.
The Jews largely rejected all of this, and they still do.
Leave the old Law and the old feasts to them, and find your true place in the authentic Christian church that Jesus personally founded for the salvation of all, that he paid for with his own blood, and that remains the authentic fruit of his glorious, Easter Sunday resurrection.

Colossians 2:15-17
15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ
So observing a holyday means you are a true Christian? I rather go by the Holy Spirit which resides in my heart. And yes I know, Jesus is the Passover Lamb.

I don't need Passover to remember Jesus. I remember Jesus everyday. I respect those that want to make special observances on any holy day, but it doesn't in itself make them "True" in the trust of God.
It's true and I agree, Christ is our Passover.

All you simply had to say was Passover has nothing to do with Judaism. Comments about Christians being ignorant are unmerited and uncalled for. This is YOUR holy holiday..why damage the time by being ignorant.

Yes He did. I looked at my calendar at work today, which notes the beginning of Passover, and smiled. Thank you for reminding me again of what He did for us.

Really? I didn't know that. I just knew that Jews celebrated Passover today and last night.

Who cares?
All this means is your "LOVING" God couldn't bring himself to forgive anyone (Even though he is all powerful and can do anything he want) until after a HUMAN SACRIFICE!
And what are you to do for passover? Isn;t is spread the BLOOD of a lamb on your door so the death angel will PASS OVER your house!
So let me see if I got this. You have to be coverd in BLOOD so a LOVING God will not KILL YOU but will PASS OVER your house.
Holy crap your God is brutal and rather sadistic!
WHERE'S THE LOVE??
