The Walter P-22 is more reasonably priced for a .22 and it is available in more finishes. Also, it has optional fitted laser sight and optional 5" barrel each for about a hundred-five more dollars.

The Mosquito is a nice gun, but I'd pick the Walter P-22.

I have a Walther p22. It sucks. It is put together with screws not pins so you have to tighten them and they will loosen. It is not as accurate as other 22s (yes I got the target model). Mine won't fire some ammo, the safety will switch on depending on the velocity. I have talked to others with this problem so it is not just "my gun". The one plus is the gun will cycle subsonic ammo (I like that for when I am teaching someone how to shoot). It is not similar to the p99 except only the most cosmetic ways. Even with the fattest backstrap it will not fit an adult's hand well.

I don't know about the mosquito but I dislike the Walther so much that I would recommend it.

Other people are going to disagree but it is not just my gun. The design is weak.

Well I have done some reading and it looks like the sig sucks even worse an example:

You basically in my opinion have limited your choices to a kick in the crotch or a punch in the nose.

It's hard to say in my opinion. Both are good guns. Have you tried shooting both? Go with whichever feels better in you hand. I shot a Mosquito for the first time the other day, and I loved it. I'm more of a Sig man, so I'm leaning more toward the Mosquito.

The P-22. I dont see them even being compared. Sig makes a nice firearm but not in this class. Go with the Walther !

The P-22 had some issues when it was released but the newer models have had a makeover to fix these issues.

Heres the link to show what im saying:

Check out a Ruger mark .22 before buying. These are great target pistols.

Why not fire both of them at a target range. And make your descion from there.
