Is it being judgmental to tell someone....?

Is it being judgmental to tell someone that their Christian practices lead to having problems...for example, having excessive guilt complexes? If someone has Christian practices are they a Christian?

I'm not trying to be flippant. I don't believe that all Christians have guilt complexes nor do all pagans have bad dreams. I just want for you to see your question from my point of view.

I make judgments about people every day, but most times, I keep them personal. The people that I observe may find my judgments insulting. And sometimes, I find later that my initial judgments were wrong. Though if someone asks for my opinion, that is a different story. Unsolicited advice is usually not welcome and will not be taken with an open mind--in fact, it may have the opposite effect that you desire.

I feel that if a person has both pagan beliefs and practices, that they are indeed a pagan. I think that belief is necessary. Would you agree that it would be possible for a person to go through the actions of a religion (any religion) yet lack the belief in their hearts which would make them truly of that religion?

Actually, there are far more tools within Pagan practices to dealing with and resolving bad dreams than some other practices I know of who deny the importance of dream life.

Having Pagan practices doesn't mean someone is Pagan. Most Christians have Pagan practices. Wearing a cross, crossing themselves, using holy water, Easter egg huts, Easter bunnies, baptizing infants, holiday trees are all Pagan practices. But we're willing to share.

It is judgmental for the simple fact that pagans are not the only ones who have bad dreams. I have some of the most horrific dreams you can imagine and I'm a Christian, so the act of practicing paganism does not make you dream bad dreams any more than being a Christian or heathen does.

If these are leading to problems, then it is completely understandable to try to help them.

Being a Pagan doesn't make people have bad dreams, unless they are really a christian who believes that they are doing the wrong thing.

So whom ever your talking about must be a wayward Christian.

I have bad dreams and I'm a believer. I guess you would have to be able to somehow specify what defines a bad dream in reference to pagans.

but why ask if you don't want honest opinion? some people are looking for approval, because they themselves are uncertain. i used to think everyone was judging me and dissapproved of me, but it was actually myself who was just too self-concious and judgemental of myself, and i was going against what i knew in my heart was the wrong thing, not what i read or learned , but in my heart. when people are going against their heart, they will always feel judged, but they usually project that judgement onto others instead of acceptng responsibility for it themselves
