strange burping issue?
For most of my life, I haven't been much of a belcher, but for some reason in the last 4 days I have been burbing quite a lot. and I have this horrible taste in my mouth that I can't seem to get rid of. I've also been a little nauseaus and it is all startingto worry me a little. Any suggestions(I'm going to call my doctor but it may take a few days for her to get back to me so I thought I'd ask here first)
no pain in my stomache but the I did have some pretty bad back pain on saturday. I think it might have been my kidneys

It could possibly be gastritis. Here are the symptoms:
* Upper abdominal pain or discomfort
* Gastric hemorrhage
* Appetite loss
* Belching
* Nausea
* Vomiting
* Fever
* Fatigue
And here are some potential causes:
* Bacterial infection (most often by Helicobacter pylori and other Helicobacter bacteria)
* Fungal infection (most often in people with AIDS)
* Parasitic infection (most often from poorly cooked seafood)
* Viral infection
* Bile reflux
* NSAIDs
* Cigarette smoke
* Autoimmune disorders
* Excessive alcohol consumption
* Certain allergens
* Certain types of radiation
I don't think that it would be Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD, because you don't describe any heartburn symptoms.
As for the belching, the obvious thing you can do is avoid carbonated beverages, and try not to swallow air when you swallow food and liquid. Eating slowly helps to avoid swallowing air as well.
Additionally, there are some natural supplements you can try in the meantime that might help: (From an excerpt from "Herbs 2000" website)
"A poor and sluggish digestion is the most common cause of belching in all people. Digestion can be stimulated by the ingestion of nutritional supplements containing digestive enzymes such as bromelain and papain from papaya. The use of supplements such as lecithin will help to transport fats out of the system in people who have a diet that has an excess of fats and oily food items."
So these are some things you can do in the meantime. Check the Herbs 2000 link for more teas and other methods of natural therapy that might help.
As for right now, here is something you can do on the spot:
"The problem with poor digestion can be corrected with topical applications using hot and moist compresses to the area of the liver, on the stomach and along the esophagus-these applications will aid in speeding circulation to the area and ease the discomfort."
Of course, consult with your doctor as soon as possible. I hope that, while you're waiting, some of this information is helpful in providing you with some relief.

Sounds the engine coolant temperature sensor and thermostat,electric fan thermostat need to be replaced and then the quality/mixture of the coolant tested with a anti-freeze tester.Be sure that it's not the original old coolant and if it is change it asap but otherwise be sure it's mixed about 50/50.After that remove the reservoir or rad cap start it up cold and wait for the coolant to over flow that should force air out but you may need to shut it off top it off a few times after it cools down and bleed it a few times.I'd shop around for a water pump for it that isn't too expensive or go to a U pull auto wreckers and get one but regardless I'd probably change it. Be sure to check all the cooling system look for severe rust or corrosion , check the metal lines/fins for softness or if you notice heavy green corrosion at the ends where the tubing bends etc it's time for a new or replacement rad.One way you can tell also is the purity of the coolant and if it's not clean that might tell you that the rad is rusted etc internally too.You could have a coolant system done performed on it but from what you're saying it sure sounds like the coolant system just needs a basic over haul. Go over all the rad hoses/rad clamps, engine be sure that you don't have a faulty hose or any coolant leaks etc.Take a good look at the water pump pulley if it's wobbling or making odd sounds this would tell you that it requires replacing, also check the pulley make sure it's not leaking. Make sure that the low fan is engaging just before the temperature gauge gets to half way if not the fan thermostat might be faulty or you've a faulty fuse/relay/fan/wiring.Normally if the A/C is turned with the engine running and the A/C compressor is working the high fan system will engage so be sure that it's working. Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way if it was me and I wanted to save money etc I'd probably start with the temperature sensor, thermostat and testing the coolant's quality , plus checking the coolant system for any leaks etc and then work from there.Remember when it comes to temperature sensors they tend to corrode too and this gives the temperature gauge and coolant system improper readings, plus the engine won't run the proper temperatures.You want the whole coolant system up to par bec not only does the over all operation of the engine/transmission work a lot better you also save on fuel etc too.

acid tasting? i get that way when i've got really bad heartburn. like all of a sudden i cant stop burping, and usually burping up acid. people keep telling me to take prilosec, but i dont. maybe try some tagament until you see a dr?
also, just to see if you can find whats causing it, here is a list of what sets off my mom (who has been diagonsed with acid reflux) and myself:
citrus, tomatos, peppers, onions, chocolate, caffiene, cola, and peppermint. maybe try to lay off these things for a few days and see if its better, or think back and see if you've been having a lot more of these lately.

IF they are eggy burps or taste along the lines of egg than i think maybe try and eat some fruit or so as i get them from time to time and i only founf out recently that fruit helps. Trust me there fun the first few times to annoy people with but then after that it gets annoying.

It sounds like a simple case of upset stomach . sometimes upset stomach gives you a bad taste and a bad smell . it might be as simple as taking a tums . or it could mean having acid reflex. my husband gets it all the time though and he wont see a doctor. but tums or Pepito helps him. hope you feel better soon. Could be your gall bladder; that kinda sounds like the symptoms--do you have any pain?
