Ouch...my stomach hurts!!!!?
I have a soreness/pain in my lower stomach muscles when I laugh or cough.....it started yesterday, but has now spread to the muscles along my sides. They are tender to the touch and it hurts to get up out of the bed or a couch. I have been careful about what I am eating today. Mostly soup and toast.
Here are some details:
1) I have moved my bowels a lot more than usual over the past few days and am thinking I may be sore from this.
2) I have not excersized over the past few days so it's not from that.
3) I am trying to get pregnant and may possibly be about 2 weeks, (may or may not) but this feels extreme for that.
Any ideas????? Seem familiar to anybody???

That sounds very familiar! I get the same thing, it spreads all the way to what feels like under my ribs. It hurts when I touch it, bend, stretch, eat, cough, laugh, or just breathe too deep.
Mine always starts at the beginning of golf season every year. I have a long coiled swing and have pulled a stomach muscle on the first day without fail for 20 years.
You could have done something physical without realizing it, or it may be from straining in the bathroom. Regardless of how it was done, it sure does sound like a pulled muscle.
Unfortunately, there isn't much to help it other than some time and tenderness. Give it some rest and you'll start feeling better in a few days.

If I get a cold and cough a lot that happens to me. You mentioned that it hurts when you laugh or cough; have you been coughing a lot within the past few days? If you aren't used to working those muscles, coughing can make them sore. I know there are some viruses that can cause intestinal problems and some upper respiratory symptoms, too. Of course the general advice of contacting your health care provider applies here! Good luck with getting pregnant!
