Another blow to Bible Thumpers?

Yeah, but they'll just deny it. They don't believe truths even when proven to them if it does not fit their religious idea.

Caution needed

David Des Marais, a geochemist at NASA’s Ames Research Center in California, calls the purple Earth hypothesis “interesting,” but cautions against making too much of one observation.

“I’m a little cautious about looking at who’s using which wavelengths of light and making conclusions about how things were like 3 or 4 billion years ago,” said Des Marais, who was not involved in the research.

Des Marais said an alternative explanation for why chlorophyll doesn’t absorb green light is that doing so might actually harm plants.

“That energy comes screaming in. It’s a two-edged sword,” Des Marais said in a telephone interview. “Yes, you get energy from it, but it’s like people getting 100 percent oxygen and getting poisoned. You can get too much of a good thing.”

Des Marais points to cyanobacteria, a photosynthesizing microbe with an ancient history, which lives just beneath the ocean surface in order to avoid the full brunt of the Sun.

“We see a lot of evidence of adaptation to get light levels down a bit,” Des Marais said. “I don’t know that there’s necessarily an evolutionary downside to not being at the peak of the solar spectrum.”

the very first thing i read was

"Ancient microbes might have used a molecule other than chlorophyll to harness the Sun’s rays, one that gave the organisms a violet hue."

key word here is "might". the thing is they dont know! they dont have an idea as to how we came about to live.

we were these little balls of purple and then BAM! out popped a leg! evolution is here! WRONG! it makes no sense. and the funny thing is, all the scientists know that, they try so hard to fill in the blanks but they cant.

God is a lot faster than man. God sensitized everything instantaneously. Man's little warped brain needs to try to keep up with God's brain and we may get somewhere in science. Science has said more oxygen use to exist. When did this change? We Bible Thumpers want you lacking in wisdom scientist to hurry up and catch up with our God. Jesus is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. You scientist are impotent, absent and lacking wisdom but we Bible Thumpers love you anyway.

the 6 word into that article is "Might". Don't worry I'm sure you'll be the one to prove the bible wrong. You'll find something that the billions of others haven't found.

Aren't these the same scientists who claim that we evolved from some primordial swamp and cannot explain the cause of the Big Bang theory? Aren't these the same baffoons who claimed that the world would be placed in a doomsday disaster with the Y2K scare? Aren't these the idiots who claim we're all gonna die due to Global Warming.... oh, I'm sorry it's now called "Climate Change Crisis".

Yea... might have, could have, should have, its all the same.

Leave the "learned men" of science alone, as when they grow older, a good many of them still believe in GOD and will tell you so!

Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids and conceited intellects who think they know it all. Find all of the science you want, but I ask, "WHO CREATED THE SUN, MOON, STARS, ALL PEOPLE, PLACES, AND THINGS INCLUDING CHLOROPHYLL?" The answer is "GOD DID!" So your post and any other message or news DOES NOT destroy that fact for me. You may try again but FYI you'll fail!

Once I saw the word speculation I stopped reading. It was interesting up until then though.

Great thing about science is that with every new discovery the silly god of the religious gets smaller and smaller, until one day it's gonna go poof in the wind like a bad dog fart.
