If I use weedkiller in my flowerbed- how long until I can plant again?
My flowerbed is so overrun with weeds I need to use weedkiller and till it. How long after using weedkiller can I begin to put plants back into the bed without them dying?
What is the best weed killer to use for this?
Also- I have some large plants like bushes, shurbs and lavender. How far away from them should I use weedkiller ... within 1ft ok??

It depends on the type of weed killer. If it is a systemic spray, like Round up, it becomes inert upon contact with the soil. So, you can plant right away. A pre-emergent is another story. Some of that can stay in the soil for several years. Ask a nurseryman if in doubt.

Round up is one Im familiar with but Ive never used the stuff....much better to dig the little horrors up by hand......if you use chemicals the replanting time may vary so it should be listed on the product.....you need a still day so chemicals aren't blown onto nearby plants, do think about the harm these chemicals cause & consider digging them out - I suggest a geo textile fabic later over bare soil to stop other weeds coming up & then cover in bark or gravel.

first go in by hand and pull out what you can.what you can't pull out spray it use round up weed killer only it's eng. to do just that.not taking time to tell you about different cells of plant life you can plant your flowers the next day since they are not weeds and have different cell structures. then after your all done get granulated weed and feed this will keep the weeds away all season you might need to pull some but your good to go remember you even said it (weed killer) and that's whats it made for. god to tell you about the cells molecule structor of the plants would take days
