How to put an elefant into a refrigerator?
Analysis:
1) Differentiate it and put into the refrig.
Then integrate it in the refrig.
2) Redefine the measure on the referigerator (or the elephant).
3) Apply the Banach-Tarsky theorem.
Number theory:
1) First factorize, second multiply.
2) Use induction. You can always squeeze a bit more in.
Algebra:
1) Step 1. Show that the parts of it can be put into the refrig.
Step 2. Show that the refrig. is closed under the addition.
2) Take the appropriate universal refrigerator and get
a surjection from refrigerator to elephant.
Topology:
1) Have it swallow the refrig. and turn inside out.
2) Make a refrig. with the Klein bottle.
3) The elephant is homeomorphic to a smaller elephant.
4) The elephant is compact, so it can be put into a finite collection
of refrigerators. That's usually good enough.
5) The property of being inside the referigerator
is hereditary. So, take the elephant's mother,
cremate it, and show that the ashes fit inside the ...
refrigerator.
6) For those who object to method 3 because it's cruel to animals.
Put the elephant's BABY in the refrigerator.
Algebraic topology:
Replace the interior of the refrigerator by its
universal cover, R^3.
Linear algebra:
1) Put just its basis and span it in the refrig.
2) Show that 1% of the elephant will fit inside the refrigerator.
By linearity, x% will fit for any x.
Affine geometry:
There is an affine transformation putting the
elephant into the refrigerator.
Set theory:
1) It's very easy!
refrigerator = { elephant } 2) The elephant and the interior of the
refrigerator both have cardinality c.
Geometry:
Declare the following:
Axiom 1. An elephant can be put into a refrigerator.
Complex analysis:
Put the refrig. at the origin
and the elephant outside the unit circle.
Then get the image under the inversion.
Numerical analysis:
1) Put just its trunk and refer the rest to the error term.
2) Work it out using the Pentium.
Statistics:
1) bright statistician.
Put its tail as a sample and say "Done."
2) dull statistician.
Repeat the experiment pushing the elephant to the refrig.
3) Our NEW study shows that you CAN'T put the elephant
in the refrigerator.

Easy first put a black hole into the refrigerator . Elephant will then go in no problem. Watch out that you are not blinded by Hawking radiation when you open the fridge door.

Wow that was awesome
<claps and whistles at your fine achievement>
You could do so many things
example SET:
If A is the set containing the elephant
B is the set containing the fridge
Then AuB=1 if and only if p(A)=1/2, p(B)=1/2, therefore A=B thus the elephant is the same as the fridge
Example
If a fridge contains a giraffe and can contain an elephant.
If elephant=fridge and fridge=giraffe by equivalence relation then elephant=giraffe
This is what maths should be like, elephants, fridges and giraffes!!

1. Open the door.
2. Remove the giraffe from the fridge. (note 1)
3. Insert the Elephant.
4. Close the door.
Note 1 : only if the giraffe HAS NOT been invited to the Lion King's party.

1- Get a big fridge.
2- Put some elephant food in the fridge.
3- Preferably food that makes elephants feel romantic.
4- Add one elephant of the opposite gender.

M,
I'm actually an undergrad math major (probally soon to be FORMER math major) and I've actually seen all of the words you're talking about, unlike everyone else here who thinks you're talking gibberish. ;) I haven't taken those courses with the exception of linear algebra, stats, and kinda numerical analysis - haven't ever gotten into the really theoretical stuff. Don't get me wrong - I think mathematics is a beautiful subject and I have the greatest admiration for those who understand it, but I've flipped through books on abstract algebra, analysis, etc., and let's just say for those of you who have never seen it that understanding the meaning of life pales in comparison to the proofs in those books (I'm not kidding). Unfortunately I'm just not smart enough to go further without seriously risking my academic standing, at least in the theoretical stuff, though I wish I was. But if you're great at it, I worship you!

1.open the refrigerator 2.move out the elephant from the refrigerator 3.put the giraffe inside the refrigerator 4. closed the refrigerator.

Simple hunters math...... 1 elephant + 1 meat grinder - bones = elephant burgers... wrap and stuff into the fridge.... enjoy at your leisure.

It might be easier to simply paint his toe nails and hide him in the jelly bean jar instead.
