IS THERE ANY DR'S ON HERE? or anyone who can help me please?

i have this sore on my leg its not an open sore not yet anyway it starts out looking like a whitehead about the size of a stick pen head. then it will get bigger and hard and the area around it gets red and hot with fever and it hurts to even move it.. i just had one of these last month and it ended up as an open sore with alot of puss in it. now i am starting to get another one in just a day the area of red has grown to about the size of a baseball... i went to the dr last time and they didnt know if it was a boil or a bite. they gave me antibiotics and that was it.... why do these keep popping up on me all of a sudden? and please do you know what they are? if y ou think you can help me and need more info please just ask. i have no ins and cant afford to go to the dr or er again... and last time i ended up not being able to walk for 2 days i cant afford to do that again either....

That's most likely a boil. You need to be on appropriate antibiotics to get rid of the bug. You have to talk at length with your doctor.

well it sounds to me like these are ingrown hairs, which happen to a lot of people. If you don't catch them fast enough they can get ugly like what you described.

If it is an ingrown hair, sterelize a needle by quickly putting it into an open flame on your stove burner if it is gas. Then stick the pin in the whitehead spot and look very closely for a long hair. If you see it, you will most likely be able to either squeeze it out or take it out with the needle. Then squeeze the remainder of the pus out.

It sounds gross I know, and it does pinch a little, but it will be a relief once it is gone. If you are not sure that you want to do it by yourself, have someone else who has a steady hand do it for you. Hope this helps!

Sorry, but you said this new "sore" is the size of a baseball ! Get yourself somewhere for treatment ASAP.The ER if you have no other choice. This sounds very serious, you need some cultures done and some antibiotics, maybe even a hospital stay to get this under control. There are some antibiotic resistant "super" infections out there, including some caused by spider bites that destroys underlying tissues. Nothing you have described is normal, and you can't afford to not get medical attention, your family needs you !Please see someone, payment plans can be worked out,the important thing is your life and continued health. Take care. SW FNP

for some reaso the irritant that is causing the infection is not exspelling itself. when it pops the pus not the sorce of the infection is releasing. you need to get the sorce of the infection out. what i usually do is sqeeze it as hard as i can start about a half inch from the spot and sqeeze toward the wound working out the infection and hopefully the cause. last time i did this i got a small pea size ball thing at the very end of one of the sessions(because it was painful) then kept sqeezing until i saw dark blood then put pressure and cleaned it very good and put a bandage on it for a couple of days. it never came back.

Source(s): this is from exspeirance however trust your instincts if this doesn't sound right to you don't do it.

Use aloe vera on the area SPARINGLY, this should soothe it. if it gets infected agaun please go to A+E(no, you wont feel daft sweetheart )i used to see alsorts of patients ) you don't say if you are on any medication/s or illness's,( or if you have had a virus recently, as it could be that, that's lingering, sorry i cannot give the right diagnosis.) You must also, understand that most Anti-biotics ,sadly now, we have now become immune to them plus. we end up worse for wear ,,,But try the aloe vera to begin with (don't worry its natural it is not expensive,) and if its upper legs wash with salt water a two pinches in warm water no soap that could dry the skin out&drythen try wear cotton pants/briefs,,,, (it could also be something as simple your washing powder or bathroom products, diary products, stress, blind boils that we thru discomfort we lead to get a head releasing the pus,, rich foods , even animals, thats a process of elimination, if not, it might be allergies ,but like i say i can't be exact. hope i have not upset you , try not to worry good luck

Put toothpaste on the bump, it should go down overnight.

Start rubbing olive oil on your legs to prevent this.
