My husband has been off work now for about 8 weeks. so I am the only one working but yet he does nothing around the house to help me out. I have asked him, begged him , been nasty about it, and plain spelled it out for him. but yet I come home to a messy house , dirty dishes and i have to cook dinner and everything else, including paying bills. grocery shopping and anything else that needs to be done. what do i need to do to get him to help me?

My husband is an alcoholic and has now decided he wants to stop drinking and get help. Here is the problem we have been calling and looking for in house treatment centers. There are alot out there but they either want a lot of cash. or you have to have ins. We have neither, because of his drinking he has lost his job we have no health ins. and are about to now loose our home so we have no money either. Now he wants to get better and we cant find any place that will take him based on our income or lack of. Any ideas?

My Grand daughter is 15months old. We have been going out to eat since she was born. We eat out quite often. lately when we go out to eat she does not want to sit in her high chair or a booster seat she doesn't want to eat all she want to do is get down and run around. Of course we don't allow her to do that so this means she throws a fit. We can not enjoy a meal because on of us has to be holding her and trying to keep her quiet while the other eats. We have tried taking toys, book, crayon, etc to entertain her but nothing seems to work. I really don't know what else to do. Any suggestions would be great. And please do not just say for us to stay at home because that is not the answer. I have her on the weekends and that is the only time we get to go out. plus I think it is important that children get to be out and around other people. But I am willing to try any other ideas you may have. Thanks in advance.

I lost a bunch of weight and last year a coworker gave me a bunch of jeans and shorts to wear that she could no longer fit into. (they were to small for her). Almost every single day since then she has made remarks in front of other co workers about giving them to me. she says things like look at those nice shorts I gave to her or don't they look nice on her? that kind of stuff. I have over looked it even though it really gets under my skin.

But now she is loosing weight and is saying stuff like I don't have any good shorts I gave them all to her. and has now even said today that if I loose more weight that she want me to give them back to her.

If i had the money (I don't) I would go buy me some shorts and bring hers in and throw them at her. I am so offended by this. I gave my clothes to a coworker also the ones that are to big for me. I have never mentioned it to anyone even when that coworker wears them I say nothing. Because to me once you give something away its no longer yours and you should not brag about giving them away either. I need some advice on how to handle this girl before I just blow up at work on her one day soon.

I work 40 plus hr per week or more. When I get home I babysit for my Grand baby 5 out of 7 days. I do all the housework. cook, clean, laundry, I am the one who shovels the driveway. I also help with the wood stove and bringing the wood in.

Here's my problem my husband never helps me do anything all he does is fill up the stove when needed and sometime brings wood in. That's it he will not even offer to watch the baby so I can shower. I am just sick of it. I will be mopping the floor and he will walk over it to go lay down. I know he works also but he always has time to stop off at the bar on the way home. and then when he gets home he is always tired or don't feel well.

I am not as young as I use to be and I can't keep up with everything anymore. I refuse to stop watching the baby because they have no one else and I cant stand the thought of her being with strangers. But she is not the problem anyway. I have asked my husband to help I have told him I need help and cant do it all. He just says ok and that's it. I am seriously thinking about just doing my stuff from now on my laundry, my meals and let him fend for himself. Any ideas on what I should do about this or how to get him to help? It has always been this way but like I said now I can't do it all anymore. plus it is worse at least he use to do man things around the house. He doesn't even do that now.

First please no haters this is a hard enough situation already. Ok I have a dachshund dog who is now 14 I have had him since he was 5 wks old. He is my baby and been the best dog ever. He has however had a lot of back problems throughout his life which thankfully have been managed through his vet.

His health has been failing for about 5 months now. He pees and poops in the house so we have had to make him stay in one part of the house that is easy to clean up. Then in the past few weeks he has started to fall when walking. I took him to the vet and we talked and the vet suggested that maybe it was time to let him go. At that time I just couldn't do it because he didn't seem to be in any pain.

I decided to take him in and have it done now but my daughter and husband begged me to wait until after Christmas. So I did. But today I caught him licking up his pee and then this evening he threw up all over and has been whining. I gave him on of his pain pills but it has not helped. I am now thinking I should just take him tomorrow instead of waiting. (also I called the vet about him licking his pee and he said that's not a good sign.) I just don't know what to do. I don't want to put him down at all but now I am afraid that if I wait he will get really bad on Christmas weekend and be in pain and I won't be able to get him in to his vet. So what should I do? What would you do?

And I will add also that there really is no other way out of this. The vets have done all they can for him. his age has just taken over.

I would like to know why all the same people get all the help from the goverment? Mostly people who are just living off the system.

For example I work a full time job have no health ins. Have not even had a pap smear in over 10 yrs. But yet we have people who are younger then me and nothing wrong with them and they have full coverage and run to the Dr. for everything Why is there health more important then mine? If a working persons health isn't important enough to have the "Rite to ins." then why do they get it?

Another thing all the food pantry's are screaming for donations. But yet they only help the ones who are on welfare. Everytime the food bank comes to my town the same people are there. And guess what it's the people who already get hundreds of dollars per month in foodstamps. They already get free food why do they need more? But yet us working people who can't get foodstamps and can't go to a gas station and buy pop and chips can't go to a foodbank either cause we make to much.

I don't get it these people get everything handed to them. Free food, free medical, free transportation, free heat, and low cost rent and now some of the apartments give them free internet.

I am beginning to wish that instead of getting a job at the age of 16 I should have just sat on my butt and had kids.

I take care of my 7mo. grand baby while her parents work. She is such a joy and a very happy baby all day long. But like clockwork come 6:30pm She gets tired and all she wants to do is fuss and cry she wont take her bottle. It does not matter what we do with her she cries. until she finally gives up and goes to sleep around 8pm.

What can we do to stop this? It makes it impossible to get anything done. plus I hate seeing her this way. My children never did this. We have tease around now saying that in a few min she will turn into the devil baby lol. She does it with everyone not just me. Her parents when they are home.

I don't know if I should just put her down and let her cry it out or love on her or what?

The past couple of years my husband has just handed money to our daughter to go buy my Christmas from him.

This makes me feel like it was a gift that has no meaning. My husband does nothing else to do with Christmas. He does not shop for anyone, put up the tree, or help wrap gifts. I do all of that myself. And the problem is not that he does not have time to go shop. Because he does have plenty of time. He just doesn't want to do it. His excuse is you know I don't like to shop. Well I do things I don't like as well and it's once per year. An hour and he would be done.

I told him that I was being totally honest and I would rather have a .99 tube of chap-stick that he went to the store and bought just for me. Then A 1000.00 gift that he sent someone else to go pick out and get. I am not about material things and he knows this. To me I want to know that it came from his heart and that he took time out of his day to do something he doesn't like just to get me that gift.

He say's I am just being picky. What do you all think? Am I asking to much? or am I rite for feeling this way?

ok here is the deal my son is 14 1/2 and he use to be this sweet kid. now he is the devil child and i dont know what to do with him. he is rude and mean to me trys to tell me what to do how to act. he cusses and is never serious. he does nothing i tell him to do his main goal in life lately has become to see just how fast and how bad he can tick me off he has no respect for me at all and i dont know what to do. i know i should take away letting him go to his friends house but honnestly that it the only break i get. i hate feeling this way. i love my son with all my heart but i just cant take this anymore sometimes he pushes me until i want to just hit him. i havent. and i wont but i need some answers on how to deal with this i have tried sitting him down talking it over i have tried to walk away i have tried taking his tv away. nothing is working. and before you ask he is not on drugs. (know for a fact) had him tested. and cant blame his friends they dont act this way. HELP ME

heres the thing we went camping last winter at someone house in our camper and then we got it stuck and couldnt get it out until now anyway the problem is we left all of our box and canned food in there and i need to know how do you tell if its still good or does it all need to be thrown out? i know if the cans are bulging they are bad but what if it looks ok? and what about ketchup and bbq sauce (unopened)? im sure it all froze and thawed but i hate to throw it out if its good but i dont want to get sick either... anyone know the answers to this????

i have a friend who we seen every sat night. then one sat he shows up and says he has went to church been saved ect but now acts like he is to good to talk to us. my question is this how do you go from drinking, cussing, flirting with a married woman when your married. to being to good to hang with your friends anymore? and isnt being a christian all about forgivness and helping your neighbors? if he thinks we are all of a sudden going to hell or whatever instead of not talking to us shouldnt he be trying to help? i just dont get this at all. im glad he has found God and wants to live rite i have NO problems with that but why cant he be friends like we always were? and how do you go from being rowdy to religious is 6days?

ok i think its time to end my marriage for several reasons all leading back to one thing he is an alcoholic... anyway heres the deal we both make nothing.. he makes 12 per hr i make 10 per hr so we are barely making it now so heres the thing we bought some land a few yrs ago when we had some money its paid for... we live in a house not on that land that we still owe on neither one of us can afford to keep the house alone and we have tried to sell it and no one has been interested in over a yr now. i would love to have the property and a trayler to live in and he can have the house i dont care but he cant afford it either so how will this work? will we have to file bank rupsy and will we have to sell the property too? that is the only way i can make it on my own with my son is if i can live in the trailer on the property unles we move into an apartment thats subsidised and i cant do that to my son we would have to give up his dogs too someone please tell me what my options are...

i have this sore on my leg its not an open sore not yet anyway it starts out looking like a whitehead about the size of a stick pen head. then it will get bigger and hard and the area around it gets red and hot with fever and it hurts to even move it.. i just had one of these last month and it ended up as an open sore with alot of puss in it. now i am starting to get another one in just a day the area of red has grown to about the size of a baseball... i went to the dr last time and they didnt know if it was a boil or a bite. they gave me antibiotics and that was it.... why do these keep popping up on me all of a sudden? and please do you know what they are? if y ou think you can help me and need more info please just ask. i have no ins and cant afford to go to the dr or er again... and last time i ended up not being able to walk for 2 days i cant afford to do that again either....

about a moth and half ago i got this really small pimple looking sore on my leg it got read around it and hard and hot with fever within 3 days the red was clear down my leg and i couldnt walk i went to the er and they said it was either a bite or a boil and put me on antibiotics it finnaly healed but the spot is still there and hard. now today i woke up with another small pimple above where the other one was and now its hurting and hot andt he red area around it is growing bigger. i have no health ins and i cant afford to go back to the dr or er someone please tell me what this could be. also befor the last one got better it had alot of puss come out of it. very very nasty. i cant afford to be off work again due to these sores and no one here has ever seen anything like them before... please any advice or help would be great

i didnt catch it all just that she was born in oct and got to come home today she is the record for spending the least amount of time in the womb and living. they showed pics of her when she was born she weighed 10oz they had a ball point pen laying next to her and it was bigger then her and they took her feet and put them between there fingers and they looked like raisens. it is so awsome that she made it just goes to show what life is all about.. this baby girl must have the most will to live of any human. anyway just thought it was a mirical and wanted to share it with you all

the last 3 or 4 times i have asked a question about dogs no one answers and i cant find them when i go to look for them in the dog catagory under the answers. it has been about 4or 5 hrs since i sent it could someone please tell me why no one answers? and dont say its because its a dumb q because it most def wasnt and i never recieved a notice saying it was removed. i just dont understand what is going on i always answer questions and i am not rude or crude when asking all i needed to know was how to potty break my dog anyone know what happened to my q????
