Free Maternity Clothes?
I am 4 months pregnant and lost my job a couple months ago. Money is really tight right now and I have grown out of all my clothes. Does anybody know where I can go to find free of very low cost maternity clothes?

YES.....the cheapest stuff I have found is through the outlet store for JCPenney Catalogue. The catalogue prices are good, and they have good sales, but the outlet is dirt cheap ($7 per piece).
I would also recommend you look at "once apon a child"...if you have one in your area. (I live in Kansas, but they also exist all over the country)...they are shops that sell previously used baby and maternity clothing.
You can also check out the salvation army or the goodwill stores. They sell used things for about $3 per piece. The good thing about used maternity clothing is that it is generally in good condition, because women wear it for only a few months, then get rid of it.

Sometimes folks post free maternity clothes on Craigslist. Otherwise go to a thrift store, I've scored some pretty cute stuff at the local Value Village!

These clothes won't be free but they certainly are cheap. Go to www.craigslist.org and pick you local area. There should be some women selling maternity clothes real cheap in your area.
Also, if you have a local free clinic in your area (try the yellow pages) they might have a center for women in need and have a clothes section to pick out free maternity and baby clothes that came from donations.

Go to freecycle.com. It will let you pick your location and generally their are tons of people with things like maternity clothes wanting to give them away free. Also try googling habitat for humanity - your local station would have things like maternity clothes that have been donated. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy.

Local GoodWill and Salvation Army. Also try freecycle they are an email type group on yahoo where people post thing they need or don't need anymore so as to find new homes where they can be used and not thrown away.

Our church has a group that collects things for expecting and new mothers.
Check with your church and other churches near you. They may have resources for you.
Also check with friends. They may have friends that have used cloths that you can have.
And as others have suggested, thrift stores. I have gotten some nice clothes from local thrift stores.
Good Luck!

A good place to check is http://www.freecycle.org/ find your area and see if there is anything there. Most of the time you have to post an offer first, but I am sure you can find something around that you don't need anymore.
