When will we realize?

wow! thats cool! the past few years we have taken god out of school and we just find things getting worse and worse! i do not understand why people are calling you sick and condemning you for saying this right after the VT incident. But this is the truth and this is what needs to be said after this awful incident! thank you for that!!!

DEBBIE22: there are only two people who would give up there life for you. one being jesus christ of course. two being troops that are dieing for you and your two kids who disrespect this great country. Let your kids salute the flag, they are not worshiping it, or putting it higher than god! they are just honering this great and awesome country that people have sacraficed there life for. there is a fine line between worshiping the flag of the US, and respecting the flag and the great men who made this great country!!!!!!! there are great men dieing for you and your kids right now over seas, show a little respect!!!

What prayers will your children be taught?

If you are a Christian will they teach the Jewish prayers?

If you are a Muslim will they teach Christian prayers?

What will they force your child to do in the name of religion? The sign of the cross...bowing down on a prayer mat?

Teaching our own children how to worship God is our responsibility.

My children were raised Jehovah's Witnesses. I explained to the teacher that my children would not be saluting the flag and would not be participating in holidays.

My children stood respectfully for the other children to salute the flag. But when it came time for the holidays the teacher put them out of the room in the hall to stare at the wall as though they were punished. This brought them humiliation and ostracism.She could have given them a pass to the library or an assignment equally as stimulating as the other children. When there was a birthday cake...my children were made to watch and not be served any cake. Why not send them to the cafeteria to get a snack?

So in conclusion, we all do not believe the same way. I would not want my children to learn religion from a religious leader that is not qualified in my opinion.

After all we are in a fight for our lives. We are to serve God the way He wants to be served. God hates other gods before Him and says so in the 10 commandments.

The flag stands for a symbol of reverence. So saluting the flag is an act of worship. And since the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one the flag is his.

And the created should not be held higher and celebrated (birthdays) over the Creator.

Each parent wants the best for their children and Jehovah's Witnesses love their children and teach them to obey all of God's laws from infancy.

The responsibility to teach children about God is the parents.

It appears that they do not believe.

And their parent either.

So the degeneration started around 1940 or so and has been going on ever since.

Perhaps the appearence of TV in 1953.

Ok, you propose to want prayer back in school?

Ok, we'll let the muslims pray as they do, then you can pray as you do......don't like that? Tough. Its either every religion gets to have prayer or none.

And seeing how muslims are supposed to face mecca and pray 5 times a day......that's gonna get a little boring after awhile when they interrupt class.

Amen. I haven't heard the end before but Ann Graham Lutz (Billy Graham's daughter) made a comment about Colombine that people asked where God was and she said we had uninvited Him to our schools. Since He's a gentleman, He won't force His way in. (this is a paraphrase not her exact words.)

I agree we need to let Him back into the schools and teach the kids to pray.

They have some very nice school where they teach nothing but religion in Pakistan.

You should consider moving there.

Or you could go the Andrea Yates route. I hear her entire school curriculum was Bible based.

Which God would that be? Are only Christians allowed to pray in school? What happened to religious freedom?

i'm not sure we need to bring god into school. if parents taught their children how to behave, then they might turn out a little better. school is for learning your abc's and 123's not about religion
