I think my car sends out the wrong message about me to women?
I'm an average hard working guy that drives a high end company lease vehicle for a huge discount. This car would cost close to what I make in a year for a retail customer. I get vibes from new women I date that they hit the jackpot. I've been a huge car enthusiast as long as I remember, it's a part of who I am, so to make matters more awkward I have a weekend "hobby" car that is a nicely kept but 24 year old Porsche thats not nearly as pricey as most people assume. I feel it's tacky to bring up things like money when meeting someone new but I also think it makes me look like I am portraying a lifestyle thats more.. "affluent?" which is even tackier in my opinion.
Seems silly to buy a more conservative car just for the purpose of dating
Opinions from the ladies please?
Thanks for the great replies! Just wanted to add that I meet girls without my car every time I've initially met them so I know it's not the car that they go for. It's just the reaction when I pick her up for that first date that feels a little misleading on my part. I have noticed more often than not that they gain more interest at that moment.

Interesting..
I don't think you should worry about it.. If she's worth your time then she'll see past your car and you can connect emotionally. There's no reason to bring up money when you're meeting people. Let her assume whatever she wants.
I don't think it's a big deal. However I've only dated people in their 20's so maybe I'm not familiar with a more mature woman's mentality.

Wow thats really hard. I would continue driving the company car, it seems silly to throw away a perk like that. And don't buy a new car when you have a perfectly nice one to drive! Any woman that only dates you for the car is PROBABLY not going to be around for a long time anyway. A car is not going to help you meet OR not meet the right woman, your personality will!

Any girl that judges a guy by the car he drives is shallow anyway. Regardless of whether they're the type that won't date guys with rubbish cars or the type that assumes you have money because you have a nice car. The right type of girl won't even think about your car.

I am sorry to tell you but there are a lot of materialistic woman out there! They are plastic in more ways then one! I have a suggestion for you. Borrow a car from mom or dad sister or brother and then and only then will you attract a woman that might be in it for the long haul and not your cars!

If girls are staying around for your car thats bad. Stick with the nice car and when a girl comes around that doesn't even notice how sweet your ride is your golden!

Well, I must say, that if a woman approaches you just because of your car...there is a red flag. If someone sees your car, and sees dollar signs, then immediately sees themselves with you, then you don't want to date someone like that...they are golddiggers, in a sense, just to a lesser extreme.
I don't date men because of their cars, their looks, or their clothes. My boyfriend doesn't have a car, I drive everywhere.
You need to find someone who genuinely likes you, not your car.
Don't buy another car just for dating...keep that one, just make sure that women who approach you approach you for the right reasons, because of you, not your car.

dont bother any one worth being with is going to be looking for what in your heart and mind rather than what you drive. Who cares if its a rusty pick up truck or a fancy pants car. Who care what job you have...as long as its legal...your whats important and any lady should be able to see that.

ok im gay and if I saw some guy driving around in a fancy car I would not take a second look. You'd have to come up to me and actually strike up a conversation in order to get into my pants. that is all. good luck.

enjoy the attention while it lasts. perhaps some of these ladies that you're attracting with your car will get to know the real you and like what they see.

enjoy it. let all those gold diggers get the hopes up and then hit them with reality in the morning by takin them to mcdonalds for breakfeast and breaking the truth to them
